Good Morning, Everyone, TGIF!
Rusty had a good night and woke me up 45 minutes early by nipping my arm. I tried to "get away" from him, but he persisted. As it happens, he was hungry and had eaten all his nighttime food. The morning routine went well: good test, good shot, first sitting of breakfast eaten, schmooze, combing/brushing. Now he is napping in his little bed by the radiator.
I made the bison chili and some munchies to take to the Xmas party this evening. Now I will wrap the $10 gifts for our rather elaborate gift ceremony, which goes like this: everyone chooses a number; no. 1 chooses a gift from the pile; no. 2 chooses a gift from the pile; if no. 2 decides to keep his choice, we progress to no. 3. If no. 2 would rather have no. 1's gift, no.1 has to exchange with no. 2. Similarly down the list of numbers. Anyone can compel anyone else to exchange the gift he chose for the other's gift (and may indeed lose that gift if someone else wants to exchange it for the one he chose from the pile). As you can imagine, this whole process is hilarious and takes quite a while to complete!
I guess the holidays are here! Wishing you all a great weekend. Sending lots and lots of healing vines so that we all--kitties and beans--will feel better for this joyful time of the year,
Ella & Rusty
p.s. We got another couple of inches of snow last night and flurries will continue through the weekend. But it will also get warmer and that will be messy.
p.p.s. We hope that all the Californians are safe in this huge rainstorm.
