Yesterday barely started red and slid to low blue then blue to pink and off to bed for me!

A good night's sleep does wonders! And so does a nice sunny start with some action happening in Neko's cycle today. It's also dry outside with some sunny periods and blue sky visible. Neko has 5P's in place, did a patrol of the deck (but not the yard) and is curled up in the solarium basket trying to catch some rays. That means it might be a good time to get out the vacuum monster.
Today is the start of anniversary week. It was one year today that we heard Neko's DX for FD. Tomorrow is one year since we gave our first shot of insulin (Caninsulin, 1 unit - shudder). I got the Dx from the regular vet, but she was away the next day so a locum gave us our injection lessons. He mentioned home testing as a possibility, but did not push it. He told us that we could use our syringes up to three times, although probably not best to do it more than twice. After leaving the vets office, we had the impression that we had to watch Neko like a hawk for about the first half our after injections to make sure there was no reaction. And then we could be free to go about our business. Nothing said about being around for nadir and when that might be.
I think it was that day or the next that I started researching on the internet and started browsing FDMB. When I talked to my regular vet the next week, I started questioning the use of Caninsulin. The change to Lantus didn't happen until two months later when I was in seeing another locum to get ear testing lessons.
Oh, and the rest of the week after Neko's DX continued in the same vein. Our main water supply got a pinhole leak in it, which meant DH using a jackhammer inside the house to rip up some basement flooring. It did get all fixed on December 24th. And Theo was diagnosed with crystals that same week. I think that was the low - it did get better, with loads of thanks to LL!
