I just found your condo and read through it and it is great to see how well you are doing and what great advice you have been getting. I like it that Mookie is playing with his ball. Is it a baseball? Are you a Mets fan? :smile: (Mookie Wilson was one of my favorite players on the Mets teams of the 1980s. He does coaching now.)

Anyway, we are glad that you are here and please continue to ask questions. We will all do our best to help you and Mookie.

:-D :-D :-D I think you will probably are good to +11 too. As Michelle said he will continue to rise and hopefully end up at a number you feel safe shooting but isn't too high.

Yes, we have all felt the tears starting, I still do sometimes. But quite honestly Tess is looking healthier now than way before her dx. We learn so much more here than just dealing w/ the FD. The only down side of this board is that we never get to meet all the friends we have made here. You are one of the family now.

Mookie is such a cutie, we'd love to see more pix . How did he get his name? Thanks on the comps for Tess, she is a little sweetie.

Hello, Ella! Nice to meet you. Mookie and I are Broncos fans--at least when they're winning. Mookie's name just came to us out of nowhere, and it suits him, just as Henry's name suits him. Thanks for the warm welcome!
 
That's a big bounce, but Mookie's not used to low numbers and it could be the liver panicking a little. Usually we don't feed much after the nadir. BGs are on the way up and food after nadir just add to the blood sugar. That +8 meal could have added a little oomph to the bounce. If he is really telling you he is starving a little treat of plain chicken is good and no carbs.

I'm glad you fixed up your SS, the white numbers are so much easier to see. Did you do them individually? You can also change the rules for coloring the text too. We all tweek our SS a little, when we come up with a new idea. I put in a column in for the number of days the pen has been used too, a nice quick reference.

I did his PMPS at 10:15, only a half hour later than +11 (to push the clock back, as discussed earlier) and the number was 243. I took it again and it was 279. Strange, but as you said, probably from food. I'll try chicken tomorrow.

I shot 1.5U at 10:20. I'll try to get a few readings overnight.

On the SS, I highlighted all the columns and changed the formatting from the original settings, so no, not individually. Thanks for the photo how-to.
 
HI! It's a good PMPS. My Mannie will do what Mookie did tonight - have a lower PMPS than his +11, it is normal for him. if you can: get a +2, it should tell you how the cycle will go. Normally the +2 is close to the pmps Number. If lower, that means it is an active cycle, and one should test to make sure the numbers do not fall too quickly. Kitties tend to have more active cycles at night. I'd get at least a +4, maybe a +6, if you can, and then go from there. it looks like today Mookie's nadir was around +6.

I will be singing off shortly as I'm up at 4AM, but expect that others will be around should you need help. Good luck - you did really great today.

Tess did the same thing tonight too. Have a good rest tonight, another couple of tests will be nice, but get some rest. You did GOOD today! :-D
