Good morning. We got a lime, fed Max a little bit of HC just now. He’s also constipated so maybe that HC will help him with that. His tummy these days is not great. I’ve had to give more Ondansetron due to nausea and also Cerenia at times. That’s probably caused the constipation. Now we are trying lactulose alternating with Miralax. He is eating well today.

Ondansetron did constipate Max. I gave him miralax twice a day when on it.

That was a long time at that dose! Looks like he came up pretty easily for you. Paws crossed SRT has some of those tumour cells dying off.

Have you tried giving both Cerenia and ondansetron? I found the combo worked for Neko. I was noticing the comment about vomiting and Cerenia is better at that. Neko also got a little baby food squash or pumpkin for roughage.

Hi @Wendy&Neko I was about to think this was as low as he’s gonna get on a dose. I’m still skeptical and really hope the reduction will hold. Sorry I sound so pessimistic! He’s just been having so many good numbers lately, I’d hate for it to fail but I know we have to try. It may be an impossible question to answer, but do you think Max still has a chance for SRT to peak? When he had the SRT back in October of 2021, the radiologist said I would probably get two years from it. I think I understand him to say that anyway. I really hope to get more from it though.

Oh and I hadn’t tried both cerenia and Ondansetron together. Wasn’t sure that I could so I spaced them 2 hours apart. I will try it next time. Is the baby food considered LC? I will try that too. Thank you.

Neko went 3 months on the same dose after her first SRT, before starting dose again. Her peak (lowest dose) was 16 months after SRT at 0.75 units. She still hung around in pretty low doses for a while. It took her about 3 years before she popped up above 3 units. ECID.

You don't need to space out Cerenia and ondansetron. Cerenia just once a day, ondansetron you can do every 8 hours if needed. Baby food is LC as long as it's pure meat. Some have gravies in them.

Okay thank you. Maybe Max will start trending down. I hope so. Is the pumpkin and squash baby food LC as well? I just got some of each from the store. It’s Beechnut plain squash jars and plain pumpkin jars stage 1. If you aren’t sure, I can try and figure it out. I may have to try it anyway to get him to the litter box. I don’t want to have to take him for an enema.

I fed Neko baby food squash without impacting her BG, can’t remember the brand. Pumpkin was what I cooked up. Whenever I made pumpkin scones, she always hung around for her cut of the pumpkin.
