Yesterday was..... BOUNCE day in MannieLand. AND.....ARRGGHHHHH day in MannieLand. :shock: Also known as "The escalator went up" day, way up.... Also known as STRATOSPHERE day in MannieLand. :shock: :o ohmygod_smile @-) @-) :YMSIGH: SIIIGGGGHHHHHHHHH...... Mr Liver won the war yesterday, making sure all in LL knew that Mannie still had one.... WOW. It could have been a possible bounce from the blues the day before, but I also think it is just due to all the meds on board, the AB's, and appy thing... all just came to a head with the BG's yesterday. He did start to come down last night, so we hope for a better day today. And good Appy!!! He did eat well this morning, only 1 can open: so far... Lubs ya big guy! 3.5 days to go on the AB's. almost there... cat_pet_icon


All is well in MannieLand.... :-D :-D
It was a very quiet day yesterday for Mannie. Cool temps, drizzle and fog just made the perfect setting for lots of bed sleeping. :-D and so he did. That and lots of nanner sleeping. I just can't see how that can be comfortable. This big lumpy pile with this cat on top of it all. Must be OK - he does it all the time. :shock: :lol: I told him yesterday that DGS will be her today, for another three days of fun. Maybe that is why he spent yesterday sleeping -resting up for three days of little boy craziness. :lol: :lol: Yesterday was the first day he spent under the Christmas Tree. It has always been his favorite sleeping spot during the holidays. It was nice to see him lay there for a bit. The act that he didn't stay long is testimonial I think to the fact that, though he is better, he really doesn't feel 100%. Soon big guy, soon.... This morning we had a great test, feed and shoot and clean plate club (phew!), purrs and lots of cuddles. Normalcy in MannieLand. :cool:

Have a great day everyone. I am back on DGS duty for the remainder of the week. Today will be a swim day for Nicholas, and then hopefully we can find a nice outdoor spot, maybe a creek today if it is not too cold, or wet, and if we have time to travel. Not too sure at this point if that will be doable or not. I will try and get to condos when I can, but probably not until late in the evening. There is just no time when he is here.. I will miss you guys - and your furkids. Think blue think green kitties!

Hey everyday!!! What's up???? I so lubbed the snow yesterday!! It was so fun. did you see me and Tess? We had para-sails attached to our snowboards - we was flying high! that was so cool! You guys wanna do a road trip today? Maybe see all our friends that cant get out? That would be cool. Maybe hit some primo grill spots along the way... hey - we needs to plan too: cookie week is coming up. I so lubs christmas cookie week... you guys in? Let me know - I am ready for anything! ~~ Mannie

So great to hear that it was another "One Can Meal' this morning!!! 3.5 days....time flies by so quickly anymore, it'll be here before you know it!

Morning Michelle, what a sweet pic of Mannie under the Christmas tree. It would make a beautiful Christmas card! So glad his appy is better. Hope he does a nice slide for you today and safe enough so you and DGS can have a fun adventure day. Have a great time today, and I bet it will be hard to get DGS out of the pool. :lol:

Mannie, Yeah, those mochas are sooo wonderful. I think i'll be putting elastic in my patience pants or moving back to just espressos for a couple days. thanks for the kick start in the morning!

Maybe Mannie will listen and get over this illness, so he can stay in Mannie blue or even greenland! What a great coffee pic! Mannie sure is one talented barista to make a kitty face with the foam.

Peppermint is my and my bean's favorite tea! I love to taste it and have nice fresh kitty breath! I'm so glad you didn't try to hook me into that para sailing board. Man I wouldn't have liked that one bit. No sirreebob - or Mannie.

I'm up for a road trip, as long as I can drive the car and finish my mid-morning nap!

Hey Michelle! I think Mannie & Scrabble have been playing in the same pool together! Lol! Hope you see some better numbers today! Good luck with dgs duty for the rest of the week! Hope Mannie starts making his comeback after the ab's are done! I know what you mean by sleeping on top of things, scrabble likes to sleep on top of things that don't look comfortable at all! I finally managed to get back on the board, I hope you and Nicholas had a great time at the pool, that certainly looks like a permission slip from Mannie for the rest of the day too. It's starting to rain here, but probably not much. Looks like a good day for btb.

F L A T Yellow... and the appy issue has returned with a vengeance, but his +2. It is so predictable: 2 hours after the AB, he looses all interest. The +2, +3 are the last of his mini meals, and after 10 (yes 10) cans he settled for Chicken and Tuna, which was 8%, not what I would ahve chosen wiht him in the high yellows.... oh well.... at least he ate.....

Nicholas and I had a great time at the pool. I so want to share a photo - this he did on his own, no help from me. This kid LOVES to be underwater....

Such a cute picture of Mannie under the tree. I agree it would make a great card. Is that a fleece tree skirt? It sure looks comfy for cats. I guess we should get our up soon, the cats do like lying underneath.

Does this count as flattish yellow! Mannie, how about eating some more. Over 2/3 done the ABs now. I hope your weather was like ours, dry, warm, and a little sun. A great day for DGS and the outdoors.

Hi guys,

I'm late today (played all morning and half of the afternoon and then cleaned the house), but it looks like Mannie had a reasonable day. Yellow is better than pink! Too bad about the 10 cans! Elsa will really have to stuff herself to get through all that food :lol:

Great pic of Mannie under the tree, and a neat pic of the little fish. Hope you had a good day today.

Yo Mannie, This was a great day for a ride to visit all our friends who need visits. I wasn't too sure about Maui's driving, but she did OK. I think Moonie enjoyed our visit. Next week--cookie week--we can bring catnip cookies and cimmamum cookies to all our friends. See ya tomorrow.

Hi Wendy - THX on the pic - I really liked it. He loves sleeping there. The tree skirt is a latch hook rug type thing, really plush thick yarns, and very soft. No wonder he likes it so much! I rad him your message on the fuds. He said he will try... Our weather today was very wet... rains off and on, fog, misty. We were supposed to see sun, but it never showed. Your day sounds great! We went outdoors here anyways - a local trail by the house. It has a very small creek there which he has taken a liking too. fun!

I was able to visit some in the morning, not too sure if I will get there tonight - I still have things to do before I can. :roll: Did have to update Mannie though. It has been an OK day for Mannie - considering it all I won't be too upset about all the yellow... he's ding well with all that is being thrown at him right now. I know on Elsa ad the fuds! That's must be the famous Mannie food spike. Come down Mannie, you're doing so well in the AM cycle.
Just a thought, how about changing the first meal into something else? Hope it will help with Mannie's spike. I think it's not only the carb which brought the raise in bg. The food itself can cause too. Like Rosy's bg will raise on vension & lamb content even if it's a low carb.

Hi Helen - Thanks - we've tried just about anything, and right now it comes down to what will he eat.... that is the whole problem. It's all within the 4/6% carb range, from all sorts of flavors... I'm certain it is the AB's that's causing the issue - I go back and forth between flavors just to keep him interested and the fuds eaten. AIyee!

Hi Ann - oh I know... what an awful cycle. Between the pill pockets, and yogurt etc.. all have sugar in some degree... then he bounces. no more clav after this go around that is for sure. oh well. Yell all the kitters to keep on pulling... Mannie says he will cook them all breffis when he is back to planet earth. :-D
