Woo HOO! it is Thursday. I hope everyone had a good one yesterday. Ours was alot of fun! it was a pool day for Nicholas. The other grandparents watched William while Nicholas and I swam.Thank you Pat! We continue to be cold here (well cold for us) 29 when dawn came around, but we did make 40: HEAT WAVE! We had some sunny skies by mid-afternoon, which was awfully nice. AND (!) Nicholas is wearing his coat. Seems he realized that is really was cold out there. William never complains, even when he had on more clothes than I could count. At least he was warm!
Here's what I wrote about the day in last night's post: Hi all - I hope your day has been a good one. Ours has been fantastic. SWIMMING ROCKS! The energizer fish had such a great day in the pool! We were there close to two hours, most of it in the big pool, as much as we could. Nicholas so loves the water, the pool, swimming as he knows it. We had face first sitting dives today. He would have stood if they would have let him. We had underwater dives to the bottom to retrieve a toy he had tossed there. We must have done that over and over and over again for close to 30 minutes, one right after the other, no rest in between. That was darn cool. He got the toy 95% of the time. I had to help him start the dive, as we were in the center of the pool, but the rest he figured out on his own. He did flips and tosses and jump ins. he had such a good time. Played alot in the beach area too. dang - wore me out.   funny: we are sitting in the car while he devoured his lunch and he turns to me and says "I love the pool". No kidding little man, that you do. He just never tires of it. I will have to start checking out their lesson schedule... start talking that up with him, see what erin/jason want to do. Come the first of the year he is eligible. we shall see.
We spent the rest of the afternoon, the hour we had, just playing, things like wheelbarrow walks, and spins, and airplanes. oh haha, one gets dizzy spinning the kid like that. William got a few tosses in the air, hands on though, giggles from that one. it was full fun times, a decent substitute for the outdoors. I had to have the boys to their pick up point early, as William had his 6 month DR appt. We have started our weather warmup, 34 tonight, up to mid 40's tomorrow. The rains will be back: 100% tomorrow. The sunset tonight was outstanding - purples and reds, oranges and yellows, some blues for good measure. I wish we'd had time for Juanita before I had to drop the boys off. Just not in the cards today. So I watched from afar. so anyways... loved today. it was alot of fun. so missing being on the beach for that sunset"
Normalcy in MusketeerVille!
This morning things are very normal, very quiet... hmmmmmmmmmmm...... Elsa has camped out on her spot on the sofa, Bug is in Mannie's bed, and Lola is on my lap. Supreme bliss rules here this morning. I so wish it would stay that way.... ;-) Lola made about three trips up the tree yesterday. I can be certain of that, as Nicholas told me every time she went up the middle: "GRAMMIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HURRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lola is in the tree. It is shaky!"       In the morning Bug was sleeping on a fleece blankie I have on a cabinet that is near the sofa. I took William over to see him. it was so cool that Bug let William sit right next to him, let him touch him and he never flinched or moved. I do believe that 'William and Bug will be the best of buddies. Elsa was in prime form this morning - let the whack-a-thons resume!  Seems she felt Lola and Bug were in her turf, and promptly whacked each one of the,   They just looked at her with that "what the heck!" look. YUPP! Normalcy in MusketeerVille for sure!
LOLA: in a good kitty moment.
I am still taken back by and ever so grateful that Nicholas loves his little bro, and William idolizes his big bro. The hugs and smiles between the two of them are endless. William has started solids, and Nichols has decided that he he should be the one to feed him. He still watches out for his little brother too. Making sure all is as it should be. Way cool: Big Bro, Little Bro....
Have a great day everyone. It is another Nicholas and William day today. I hope to take the boys up to a river today, but..... The weather isn't all that nice: rains. It is however, rather cold out thereon those rivers: 27/30 this AM, and not expected to be much above 30 on the rivers. We shall see on this one. If it rains lots - indoors for sure... I will try and get to condos when I can. I am sorry I missed so many of you yesterday. it is so tough to find any time on days when I have the boys... I do hope all is well with all of you.
