Yesterday, the usual.
Today, more of the usual. But at least I don't feel or even think anything when I see the number pop up on the meter. I'm numb. This is progress, my FDMB friends:p.

This morning is cycle 5 of 3.375U.

Have a wonderful day, all.:bighug:

Oh yeah, 4/5 on the Ps yesterday. Very quiet purrs...not loud happy ones so it should be a 3.5 / 5 but I'll round up so she gets the A.

I got the butcher to grind it for me. His equipment was set up for that. Even with some meats, you get different calories depending what part you grind. For example, chicken thighs being higher calorie than breast. Getting the butcher to grind for me allowed me to select what bit got ground. And yes, I am lucky to have an organic plus exotic meats butcher 5 minutes away.

I found the smallest ziploc freezer cubes about perfect for a days worth of food. Pull it out of the freezer the night before to thaw in the fridge, then I could pull out what I needed. Neko also needed several meals a day, or she'd chew my leg off. :p

Lol. I wonder which one she thought was tastier, her raw meals or your leg?;)

Elizabeth was kind enough to hook me up with her exotic meat contact (thank you again, @Colio :bighug:). I'm just trying to find out whether it's okay to get some pre-ground meat, like if the kangaroo only comes pre-ground. My main concern would be whether there would be bone ground up into it. I have come to realize I know nothing about meat and what the Canadian / CFIA rules are for it. Google is my best friend today.:)

Kangaroo is unlikely to have bone ground into it. Ground kangaroo is apparently a thing for "ham"burgers for people which is why it's made, though I've also seen kangaroo steaks.o_O Even the local pet food places here that use kangaroo don't use kangaroo bones, but bone powder or bones from a smaller animal. Larger animal bones are quite hard (to grind and eat). Some cats LOVE raw kangaroo - Neko called it a mouse-upial, it was one of her favourites. I use frozen pre-ground elk, had to mostly thaw it, make food and refreeze. I know someone who does the same with venison.

As a foodie, I love this conversation. :p There are Michelin-starred restaurants who feature similar menus (sans the mouse).

From everything I've read online, it looks like it has to be disclosed on the label if bone is included in human grade ground meat. The fat content is a different story. My hands could really use a break from chopping. I'm going to order some pre-ground exotic meats and we will see how this goes.:joyful:
Butters has never had kangaroo, so I'm excited to find out if she likes it enough to adopt Neko's nickname for it:).

Seriously! Where do I sign up for someone to make me fancy meals out of exotic meats and wait on me hand and foot?o_O

In spite of her continued terrible numbers, she had a couple of hours tonight of acting more like herself! :joyful: She sat at the open window, sniffing air and staring outside, and purring very loudly. It was nice to see the old Butters.
Nothing has changed with her food or meds, though I did use a different bottle of bupe tonight. But that shouldn't make a difference.

And one last thing...looks like Butters is getting an increase tomorrow morning. She earned a .25U increase I believe, based on her nadirs from the six cycles at her current dose.
