Well I thought he would be higher than this because of his sneaking some medium carb food last night. It was only about a tablespoon and once he was into it, I just let him continue. He's been so good. Well, good when I lock him in his room so he doesn't pee in my chair. He's been going in the litterbox and now that upstairs and downstairs have identical litterboxes, my civvies will spread their joy to both instead of just his. I hope this solves the problem.

Found homes for two of the kittens. There is a 7 and 10 year old brother and sister who are going to have a very warm Christmas. Parents are educators and wanted to wait until kids were old enough for the responsibility. They are also willing to learn about proper feeding. I told them that I couldn't expect them to feed expensive canned food - that would only depend on their budget, BUT - they were acceptable to understanding why dry food is not good and being responsible to the fact that I am handing them very healthy (raw-fed + gf canned) kittens. They were all about learning and educating their community on better nutrition and the need for more adoptions. I will then have the runt and her mother which is good because runt needs more time with mom and after mom is spayed tomorrow, she will be out with her babies full-time instead of locked in a cage in the same room.

Alska and civvies seemed to have gotten used to the kittens. Alska show teeth when they get close but is otherwise very entertained by them. Christmas tree goes up this weekend. Can't wait to see what Alska thinks (hopefully he doesn't view it as another pee place).

What is it with the boys peeing where they shouldn't? Marking their territory maybe? Not spraying, but actually peeing.

I told you Lucian peed on my bed recently. He has never done that. He has peed on the bathroom rugs a couple times if the LB wasn't cleaned fast enough to suit him, hence my rugs are in the linen closet.

Years ago, he would pee on piles of clothes, if you had them in the floor sorting to do the laundry. No idea why. Son and gf used to complain when he was young, 6 mos old, that he would pee on their clothes in the floor. Well pick up your dang clothes! I think that's why he'd do it when you were trying to do laundry, too.

He also had a thing about peeing on cardboard scratching thingies. You know the kind made of strips of cardboard? After having to replace them every few days, I stopped buying them, he'd pee on them every time and never any place else.

It's always males. My females have never pottied anywhere they weren't supposed to. But males have an issue I guess even after being neutered at a young age.

So nice of Lucian to teach your son to pick up his clothes

I think Alska's problem is that he is downstairs and can't get upstairs because either Brio or Bing are near the steps or he gets upstairs and Brio or Bing are in his room. I know that Brio was sleeping in Alska's room a few times last week. Alska then didn't like the downstairs LB so he chose the chair - which I am replacing soon anyway. But if he had chosen my couch - He would have been locked in the bathroom forever. I think having matching LBs will help him with this issue.
