wow! i can't believe it's almost been a week since our last update!

alex is doing very well in spite of the whirlwind of activity this past week. i think she's finally recovered and forgiven me for the crazy schedule i had her on last month. all Ps are in place and she doesn't appear to be any worse for wear. :-D

i did a quick look around LL. i'm so happy to see tom and tawny are back home where they belong! sonia and desi, you must be ecstatic!


O/T: i wanted to share some of the happiness that has come our way...

last week i mentioned the personal chef LL "gifted" us was stopping by to bring some casseroles. let me tell you... they're scrumptious! this week she'll be by with individual meals. you all couldn't have come up with a better choice! many, many thanks!

we are so blessed. not only does DH continue to improve, but we found out we're going to be grandparents again this coming spring! how great is that! we're so looking forward to welcoming this new little person into our family and into the world!

DH's physical therapy is going well. one of his childhood friends and his wife are visiting. his friend is presenting him with mini-challenges everyday. i think the challenges and the the constant laughter around here is contributing greatly to DH's recovery!

it's amazing how the best in people comes out in times like this. we have such an awesome group of friends (besides those in LL :smile: ). we spent saturday at a cookie exchange and had a potluck christmas decorating party here on sunday. there's no way i could have decorated the house for christmas all by myself this year. let's just say, it's beginning to look a lot like christmas around here!

presents have been made/purchased. everything's been wrapped. one more trip to fed ex this morning and shipping will be complete!
bring on christmas... we're ready! :lol:


anywho, that's about all that has been going on in our world. although O/T, just wanted to share a little bit of the good things happening here. hope you and your precious fur babies are doing well! :mrgreen:

Great report on Alex, and even better report on your family! Congrats on the new grandchild! That will keep DH improving! I love the idea of a decorating party! Sounds like a tradition worth starting!

Congratulations on the news of a grandchild.
I'm glad Alex is settling in, and the rest of your O/T world is shaping up, doing well, and is happy. :YMHUG:

Over the years, I know that everyone here has told you how much your contribution is valued. I have no doubt that what you do in LL is a reflection of what you do in your life outside of LL. Sometimes, it takes a crisis to really begin to appreciate just how much value and affection friends and family have for all of the things you (and Mike) have done to make their lives better. It's your turn to be the recipient of what people want to pay forward. I'm very happy that Mike is making huge strides on the road to recovery, there will be a new smile coming in the spring, and that you will be celebrating Christmas in style.

What a wonderful report on all your happenings. It's great to hear how well Mike is recovering, and congrats on the new little wee one that's on the way - how exciting!!!

Hi Jill, Mike, and Alex,

The Christmas spirit and the joys of the season are in full swing at your house. It is such great news that Mike is doing so well and that Alex is good and that you will have a new grandchild in the spring. Nothing is better than friends and family. Jill, we are all so lucky to have our LL family and that it includes wonderful beans like you!

I could not say it any better than what has already been said by others here. We are so grateful for all you do - now it is your turn to be on the receiving end. It is so nice that DH is recovering well - continued well wishes there. And what good news you have - congrats on the new pending arrival - grandkids are the best.

Enjoy yhe holidays - I am so sure it will be a happy one for you.

Lovely update! Warm hearted friends and family go a long way to helping with recovery.

I always knew you were a super-hero, Jill, but all your holiday shopping done TOO?? You are a Grand Master. :-D :-D

It's just a joy to hear how well Mike is doing, and about your little grand-bundle of joy on the way! Let's hope there is a big box of relaxation and comfort under the tree for you. I imagine you could use some.

Sorry to be so late expressing my congratulations on all things wonderful going on: Mike doing so much better, Alex's great numbers, and the GRANDBABY!!!! Woo hooo!!!!

All of these exciting things are more deserved for all you give. Mike, Gracie, and I wish you, Mike, and your family much health and joy in the coming year.
 
This is a feel good condo. Three reasons for joy in this season. Glad to hear Mike is doing well. Nice he has a friend visiting -laughter is the best medicine -of course, the mini challenges help too.

Another grandbaby. I'm envious, mine are all grown up and single so no greatgrand babies yet!

Thanks for the update. You have a full plate and you still think of us.

Scritches to Alex, I'm sure she missed you during your crazy schedule. They are such creatures of habit.

So happy to hear that things are going well and DH is doing better by the day. Glad the meals are coming in handy and your enjoying them. Sounds like you have great friends and family and it was nice of them to help you decorate. By Alex's #'s she took the bump in the road with no trouble. She's doing great.
