Yesterday
What a long day it was yesterday, what with the board's hosting service being hacked yet again. I hope anyone who may have needed help is OK today!
Barely on the blue floor today, but I guess blue is blue! And, it looks like Ms P has decided to pick up the pace again....looks like those "OnTJ" threats finally kicked in! We have a very happy appy, and a snuggly kitty who had a very adorable case of the Crazy Cat Zoomies this morning...she was running, all wild-eyed, for the pure fun of it. I do wonder what goes through their furry little brains when they have the Zoomies like that  !
I'm cut-n-pasting the rest of today's condo from yesterday's condo, since there was good info about both Trix and my Dad in there, and some of you may not have seen it thanks to the hack.....plus I'm just too lazy (or am I just too efficient  ??) to retype it. From yesterday, with some minor updates:
I found THE best case of Fancy Feast EVER yesterday. Unfortunately it was the last one, or I would go back for more. When I gave Trix her +9 snack from the new case, she absolutely devoured it. I figured she was just hungry. But when I gave her the first round of dinner, she CPCed without even glancing at the kibble-crunching kibbleheads! That is a rarity. I'd love to know why this case is so spectacular! I mean, she always enjoys a good Fancy Feast, but this was just off the charts. Between +9 and bedtime, she ate about 1 1/4 can!
I also discovered that she no longer has an aversion to FortiFlora - woohoo! Just for the heck of it, I sprinkled some on some stale old food (according to Trix- it had been opened for a whopping couple of hours) that was in the fridge. I knew she probably wasn't going to eat it and I would end up tossing it, so what the heck - let's see what she thinks of FortiFlora. She almost licked that plate clean, too! She LOVED FortiFlora before she got sick in April, but hadn't been willing to touch it for months. I guess she forgot that she had an aversion to it. This is a big help...I'm hoping it will reduce the amount of fuds I toss, since she does prefer "fresh new can" as opposed to "refrigerated open can" fuds. If Forta Flora will get her to eat refrigerated food more enthusiastically, that is awesome.
My Dad's platelets were too low Tuesday, so no chemo. Since this is the third time in a row for the platelet issue, the doc decided to just put him on a 3-week schedule, instead of a 2-week schedule. There's no point in us continuing to go there and spend several hours only to find out he can't get treatment. So, we'll be going back next week. This new schedule completely puts him in the clear for both Christmas and New Year's (although New Year's is nothing at all for my family...it's never been a big deal to us.) It's also good because it give me back a little bit of my own free time, plus he'll have another full week of feeling good in between each cycle. And, they've planned a trip to Hawaii for February!!! (Yes, I'm jealous!)
The schedule change also put a monkey wrench into our plans for my birthday next week, and that kind of threw my Mom into a tizzy, but I quickly regrouped and rescheduled and got her calmed down....now we're going to go out on my actual birthday, which is Sunday. Normally I really don't care about birthdays, but this is my 50th, so that in combination with my Dad, I want to have a celebration this year. We'll be going to my absolute favorite vegetarian restaurant in the whole wide world, Blue Sage. Yum.
Time to get in motion....have a great day, LL!
