Good Morning and good Caturday, Everyone,
We're having a heat wave: 30 degrees. Tomorrow we're supposed to get "mixed" precipitation, so that will ruin the snow that we have left. Meanwhile, the upper midwest gets a blizzard!! Happy December!
We had a good night last night. Rusty played vigorously with his mouse and his cube right before eating some of his snack and settling down on the bed to snuggle with his beans. He ate everything left out for him last night (some right before we got up--again)! This morning I got a strip-error message and had to do the test over (not good, because I want his ear to look better). DH went btb after Rusty's test and I started on a batch of Xmas cookies. Rusty was sitting on the table when the deer family walked through the yard (single file, one breaks the trail and the others follow). I don't think he'd seen the deer before today and he was really interested. We've had a good game with Big Bug, another good game with "Red Ears", and Rusty pushed past me as I was going down to the cellar with some laundry and spent some time looking around down there. I had to carry him back upstairs!
Tonight a few friends are coming over for pizza and to meet Rusty. I think he'll do just fine with company because he likes people so much (and these are people with cats).
So everyone have a great start to the weekend. Stay safe and warm! (I talked to my sister again, just to make sure she is indeed OK after totaling her car, and she is. But she told me that her grandson (who lives near San Francisco) totaled his mother's car the day before. He's fine, too, thank goodness.)
