Good morning!
Another pj party with Boomer last night when he tossed a 41 my way at +3. Then I obviously over-carbed him :rolleyes: so we played a waiting game until he dropped back down, which I knew he would. So he got some extra fuds last night but will no longer eat fowl ball unless it's liberally laced with higher carb ff :rolleyes:

Allen had to fast overnight and has received his alendronate (for his calcium level). He will get to eat in about 2 hours. I really really hate this 12+2 hour fast for the alendronate once a week and will talk to Dr Larry today to see if we can shorten the fast by a few hours.
 
I don't know what was going on with all of the shark diving yesterday/last night, it seemed to be a thing for several cats. Was it a full moon or something? :confused: Another food bites the dust! :(

Poor Allen, that is quite a long time to fast and once a week too, it must be hard on both of you, hope Dr Larry has some alternative for you. :bighug:

Even Dr Larry was surprised at the length of the fast because, according to him, a cat's tummy is emptied in about 4 hours. I'm going to suggest a 8 hour fast with an ionized calcium test in a month to make sure the shorter fast isn't affecting it.
 
Happy Monday, Judy :coffee::coffee::coffee: And here I thot when our nest emptied several years ago DH and I would be on easy street ...:woot::woot::woot::woot::woot:. These sweet furbabies keep us busy as ever :bighug::)
 
Wrong way, Boomer! I did have to LOL at the cute picture of Boomer snoring next to you....I hope you get a nap today!

I also hope Dr Larry approves shortening Allen's fasting time. I can only imagine how stressful it is to fast him for so long, so often....

It was bad enough before he got sick a few short weeks ago. But now I feel like we're encouraging him to eat for 6 days then just getting him into a good routine and bam we take his food away. Dr Larry has approved the shorter fast so now I'm just waiting for his opinion on whether we can go to an 8 hour fast or even shorter.
