happy saturday, everyone!

looks like everybody had a good night...
the kids and i are back home this am...and glad to be here! Binks gets along famously with momster's fuzzy family, but the girls are treated like 2nd class citizens, and were forced to spend the night in their beds in the garage.
BUT:
WHY didnt i think of this before?? the 2 tortie ladies were so incensed at their shoddy hotel that they have been loving, quiet and agreeable...so they are chillaxin on the loose with binks and i...and so far have been on their best behavior.
true, binks is steadfastly ignoring them...but so far, we seem to be having a successful truce.

obviously, binks is my main concern, but my heart goes out to Smudge and Annie...they have truly had a tough, neglected life...and so desperately crave a lil love...
and i really understand why they cop their funny, frustrating attitudes...i'm just amazed that after six years of neglect that they aren't feral, nasty biddies 24/7.

so maybe last night was their "breakthrough dose" of being downtrodden, and we can get on with the business of getting ahead by getting along. If not, well...lockdown is still available!

Morning Celi!! Glad to hear you are home, Binks has a great AMPS, the torti girls are roaming free and all is happy in ID!! Great report!!! Sometimes it takes a little hardship to appreciate the good things Misses Smudge and Annie!!! Hope the water heater problem is sorted out, too. Those torti girls do not know how lucky they are to have you!! I keep crossing my fingers that they will decide they like living the life of luxury like Binks. Whoa...too much alliteration there! Have a great day!!

Nice amps for Binksy--Moonie dropped like a rock! I must have a strong heart, anyone who goes on these magic carpet rides with these cats does!! :lol:
We deserve Medals!!! Momma beans of the year!--You especially Those cats is gorgeous!! Hugs--I have a giuant head cold! & WORKING tonite--i should be a barrel of laughs!

Back to the brig, ladies!

ah well...even Ben Franklin had setbacks as a diplomat...and i'm pretty sure he didn't give up...
maybe they'll get "yard time" in the living room tomorrow...

meanwhile, back at the ranch, Binks and Tonto-bean are now settling in on the couch for some consolation cuddles...he's warbling a little Peter Allen classic 'bout now, cuz it apparently bothered him more than i realized..

"Binksy cried the day the torties came to town
cuz he didn't like how cruel they were to him.
so he painted on a smile and sat down with his clown.
and politely asked "Can't we just get rid of them?"
But the bean said "No, but buddy... don't worry.
We''ll civilize them yet, just wait and see!

We won't put them out...
we'll keep them inside
they'll learn how to hide their feelings!
Maybe we lost this bout.
But let's give it some time...

Gabby was feeling badly for Binks. She decided to keep him company. Oh....but she's a tortie. Hmmmmm.......

Wrong way, Binks! Come on back down to blue at least. I'm glad you had a truce, even if it wasn't permanent. Poor girls. I hope they can all get along soon.

Lots going on in the Binks compound today! Too bad the tortie gals had a retrogression. One step forward, two back, huh?

Torti's ahhh yes the beautiful Torti.

Beware there is a breed characteristic, which means it doesn't get trained or normalized away, called ....Tortitude.

MudCat is a dilute torti. Does she have a 'tude.' Well, yes. But, it comes out as a 'look but don't touch me.' Here let me get...this close to you...but don't touch me. Look at me roll around and be cute at your feet....but...you guessed...don't touch me. The only one who could touch her, snuggle her was Krueger.
