OhEmGee if Casey can pull these kind of numbers while being given the world's stickiest, pink sugery antibiotics what's he going to do at the end of the 10 days when the infection clears?

I got to tell ya...One sugarcat is easy...two sugarcats on two different doses is nerve wracking especially at 7 a.m. when you are barely awake. :lol:

Looks like the antibiotics are doing there job and he's clearing the infection. And that is close enough for me to earn him a dose reduction.

I really wish they all were as easy as Casey and Maxwell were, this goes right back that saying ECID...lol Honestly I think the only reason Casey is diabetic much like Maxwell is the combination of stress and diet. Autumn and Lucian on the other paw, who knows how they ended up diabetic.

That's probably right, because he CAN! :lol:

I was just shocked when Lucian was dx'd though, usually it is overweight kitties AND humans that end up diabetic. He was always a good weight, with exception of a couple years around 6-7 yr old when he was 12-13lbs, but never obese and has been proper weight ever since I got Patches, their Personal Trainer, 6 yrs ago. :lol:

See that's like what limited history I have on Autumn. Sure she was being fed crappy cheap dry food (Alley Cat) but she was also a barn cat and reported to be an excellent mouser. So she should have be slender from roaming outside and hunting. So how she turned up diabetic I'm clueless. I know when I had my horses I fed the barn cats a small amount of dry just to keep them around but not enough to fill them up because they were basically ferals there to work. So unless they treat their barn cats different in Minnesota she should have been on the best diet possible....mouse and sparrow.

And Maxwell well he's 13 years old and has never known the same home longer than 4 years at a time. And as laid back as he is with my other cats I'm sure being bounced from shelter to shelter after the hurricane is what sent him over the edge. And while I'll never know for sure but watching him with Jon I'd lay money on that his original owner was male. I'm just super until Jon gets home then unless I have food I don't exist in Maxwell's world as he only has eyes for daddy. lol

Dropped the big guy back to 1u tonight. With the numbers he's giving me I just can't shoot even a 1.25 at night. Especially right now as I'm running low on strips and won't have the dinero to get more until Friday night after Jon gets home with the paycheck.

Not a good time for either of them to decide to try to hypo. This blasted weather is wrecking the budget. Its always lean in the winter but normally if its dry they can still roof except this year its our wind chills have been so low they're dangerous to even send out crews. So he hasn't even been getting a full 40 hours in.

Dag - I can't even remember what it was like to get double digits repeatedly. I am just trying to get Alska under renal threshold.
 
I hear ya about the time loss. Son lost Sat, Mon and Tues this week. All because of rain.

I don't know how Casey survived the 11 unit doses, that's crazy!

Casey is putting our boys in the shame wagon, Debbie. Geez - our boys better shape up or Autumn will just write them off as no-shows :lol:
