Well, here we go today. Sienne and Laurie thanks for the support for the dose increase. We're nudging up to 2.75 today.

I have liked that the new feeding schedule pretty much has given me a more predictable result. We had what appeared to be the one drop the other day, but upon evaluation I think it was more my panic...than his. ohmygod_smile . We're still feeding way more than the Nature's Variety says too, but we're still in high BG's too.

I am wondering if some of the lack of appetite is due to overfeeding? For his weight the calculator claims he should only be getting 4 medallions a day? That is only 4oz of food, I'm not sure if I have assumed the correct parameters. We're using at least 6 day.

Well we have had some purring, playing, and growling (Gary the Garage Cat is here this morning on the back step) this morning. I can say Attie seems to be feeling better than last night.

I am worried about the next few days and Gary. He isn't any kind of indoor kitty and the next few days are going to be pretty dangerous for him weather wise. The lodge has been stationed under the front eve and tucked behind a bush. Just like last year and is stuffed with fresh straw. I see he has been using it as it is "nested." I'll go out this afternoon and fluff and fresh it again. The location is pretty darn good, even in the worst rainstorms the area stays dry, but we're expecting blizzard like conditions by tomorrow. I've got some boards in the basement I am thinking of making into a lean two to create a wind break at the entrance to the lodge. I am not sure with the winds though if it will stay in place.

The crazy things I do.

Good luck with the new dose for Attie - I hope you see results soon. and Attie - down you go - no more pinks dude, we want yellows and blues...

And no - not crazy. very considerate, compassionate. I too worry about the kitties I see that I know are outdoor kitties - especially when the weather worsens. Kudos to you for trying to make a difference in the life of one of them. I think it's great.

Oh...I dunno about them torti's of yours. Binks already told me he needs to up armor for battle with those guys.

Well, I couldn't find a snugglesafe thingy...can only get them online. So while checking out at the drugstore I saw those hand and foot warmer things. Open them up and their good for 7-8 hours of heat...

So why can't I use a few of those in a pinch tucked inside sock, placed inside the lodge? They are only 0.99 for two?

A strong storm system will track near Lake Erie late on Sunday.
In the wake of the storm system very cold air will arrive on gusty
northwesterly winds. The lake effect machine will begin Monday
morning with significant snowfall expected across an area north of
a line from Oberlin to Medina to around Youngstown. The heaviest
lake effect snows should be located across the western portion of
the watch on Monday then wobble eastward Monday night into Tuesday
and Wednesday. A general 2 to 5 inches of snowfall may occur
Sunday evening into the overnight hours before the lake effect
snow develops. Snowfall totals across all of the watch area should
be a foot or more through Wednesday.
The usual higher terrain
areas of northeast Ohio into northwest Pennsylvania could see 2 or
more feet of snowfall. The strong winds will cause significant
blowing and drifting of the snow... especially Monday into Tuesday.
Wind gusts may be as high as 50 mph Sunday night into Monday.

These winds will also assist in keeping wind chills in a range
from zero to 15 degrees below zero through Tuesday night.

Gonna be cold, rough, and brutal. Sort of wondering if the low pressure is affecting Attie? The rain starts tonight in about an hour, freezing rain by morning and into the afternoon...
