Thanks, Robin. I shot .9. I think she is eating better, perhaps because she is back on the Flagyl BID. (had decreased to 1x/day). So it's white fangs of drool around the house! I promise myself in the next few months I will give myself a present of getting the furniture cleaned!

I've been sitting here waiting for you and never saw your post, maybe I need to refresh or something. I didn't see your post until I saw both of them.

I don't understand enough about computers and how this site works. I have to stay at the PZI page to see if there is a new post, it doesn't automatically show up on the page I am looking at. It is very annoying. When you didn't respond I assumed you were out or busy.

No not out or busy, we are getting another winter storm, it just started, so everyone in town stopped by the grocery store on their way home to prepare to be snowed in tomorrow, by tomorrow afternoon we will have 14 inches of fresh snow.

I was thrilled to be able to come home after work and be able to log on and let it snow.

I guess you must have a snow blower and be used to great accumulations! I love snow, but not shoveling or driving in it.
I will be shooting late tomorrow AM (around 10?) because I will be out tomorrow night and not sure what time I will be home.
Have a good night!
And today was a good day for Squamee. I guess it is probably the Flagyl--and I don't know what that means. But she is eating more or less normally. (who remembers anymore what normal was?!). My latest enticement is to add a little boiling water to the food (I test it with my finger before putting the bowl down). That seems to help a lot. Also, I mixed up a batch of "tuna water" that I found from Dr Lisa (I think) and that helps too.
Gator, I got a pocket infra red thermometer from Radio Shack, as you suggested. It is a cute little thing. I don't know how to tell if it is reliable. Sometimes I worry that I might overheat the fluids---so I want to be sure I am not.

Glad Squamee is feeling better even if it is because of meds and warmed up Tuna water.

No I don't have a snow blower, just a son and a shovel. Minneapolis/St. Paul is in lock down until probably Sunday, no travel advised except for emergencies. I hate shoveling almost as much as I hate driving in it.

Michelle & Peeps and I were going to get together tomorrow for lunch and shopping but we had to cancel because of the weather.

Oooo a new toy! The way to "calibrate" a thermometer is ice and boiling water. Ice [or slush water] should be 32 and boiling water [at sea level] should be 212. With all the snow going around, ice should be easy to find.

I think the problem is that the IR thermometers don't do well with the surface of water? You'll have to experiment. I think they like solid surfaces best.
