Yesterday, Simon started off in the pink and then went to red. I increased his insulin and this morning he is looking a little better. Every day is a little bit of a struggle to get him to eat, but he is being a champ about it. He knows his mamabean wants him to eat.

In my last condo, I mentioned that a friend from work was going to give me a brand new bottle of what she thinks is Lantus from a friend of hers hat passed away from diabetes complications. As it turns out, the bottle was open and had an expiration date of 4 months ago. As much as I would love to save lots of money by not having to buy more insulin for Simon, I can't risk giving him an expired open bottle from someone I don't know. I'm sure everyone here will agree with me. My work friend was so sweet to think of me. I didn't tell he that I am not going to use it -- I wanted her to feel good about the gift.

Happy Thursday. I will be off the board for most of the day. Fourth day in a row that I have something to do after work until 9:00

Bummer about the insulin....I would have done the same thing - take the gift with a small, as it is a wonderful gesture.

Eat your fuds for Mama, Simon! I hope you get some rest soon, Georgia!!
