Quiet day in the neighborhood. Cats, dog curled up sleeping scattered about the house. Bums, I tell ya'. Just bums! Dog goes to daycare to play with friends. Cats will keep sleeping. I'm off to work. Unfair!!!! (I pout well.)
Polly's just being Polly! Never a raucous cat or a crazy-to-play kitty. But she loves her sunspots and her food. Just now we passed going opposite directions down the back hall. I bent over to scritch and scratch her tail-elevator button. A simple thing, right? But she stopped, let me loom over her and scritch. Six months ago, she would have darted away in fear of the scarey big human as soon as I stopped walking.
I have to remember just how far we've come since her diagnosis and those early days of cat herding to get a glucose test. Brave girl.
