Good morning World!! Yesterday's BAD swings

We're still walking forward to try shots at 10am/10pm CST and see if I can help catch those dives he seems to have late in the pm cycle at times. Those lows are WAY too low and are really worrying me. If he would do it during the day I could catch what's happening. He feels SO terrible when this is happening - this morning he just looks tired.

Question from last night:
Do I understand correctly that Evo has a low carb dry food that he can have? He just SO craves hard food...can't even leave dog food down now. I can't get Evo anywhere here anywhere and no one's even offered to try to order it for us. I probably can't afford it either... :? I DO have a $3.00 coupon for it that will expire soon....

I made 6 pints of grape jelly yesterday evening - I forgot how SIMPLE making jelly is....from start to finish took one whole hour. That INCLUDED the time for the hot bath for the jars too! I'm a huge PBJ nut - my pbj last night had FRESH jelly.....yummy!

Thoughts and prayers continue today for Garland and Tawny - fight girls, fight! Your MamaBeans are trying SO hard. Add and extra prayer today for Connick and Tinkerbell, Garland's and Tawny's sisters, as they try to figure out what's happening in their worlds again.

We dance today for those new OJT babies we have!!!! What a wonderful Christmas gift! We also dance for Maureen and her baby with the 'missing' bladder stones! WHAT? They're GONE? No SURGERY? NO!!! Alright!!!!! Thank you Lord!!

Actually Do Lou's wild swing back in spring are why the vet and I tried letting him have some dry to help with the drops of course its not doing anything for him now it does not seem like but when I first started with it I thought it helped I know most here are going to say no to dry but ECID only neg about evo is its higher fat. I use royal canine diabetic for Do Lou's dry its lower in fat but it is higher in carbs you could also experiment with wellness core it comes in a very small bag to try out its 11 carbs but I cannot remember if its lower fat then evo you could check it out on J & B I am right there with you on this darn bouncing right now we are trapped in the pattern like we were back when he was a early FD cat but I think its because I let his shedd get depleted and now his liver goes into overdrive when he drops

Libby raised a point in a backchannel discussion. She was wondering whether it might be possible for you to get a sleep test tonight at +8. There's a good chance of catching a dose reduction if you can see your way clear to get a test. It looks like KT does his drop thing every other day so it's likely he'll drop tonight. I agree with Libby that trying to catch the drop is a better strategy than feeding higher carb.

Lisa - I didn't realize Wellness had a low carb, I'm not sure my PetSmart carries it.

Thanks Libby and Sienne - I'm thinking along the same lines and already told DH that I need to do that tonight. I'm planning to shoot at 9:30 tonight, planning to get up early about 4:30-5am-ish and see how he's doing (+7.5-+8). If his history repeats itself, he'll NOT drop this time, seems like there's 2 lows then he squats up on top of the mountain and bounces around. I HOPE he changes his pattern this time!!

i do hope you can figure out a way to get the EVO dry....PetFoodDirect has a lot of different foods online....and they do offer discounts too....

Hi Lyresa and KT,
Stu ate EVO dry and liked it a lot. But when we switched him to wet foods we wound up feeding it mostly as a treat. It is 7% carbs, so it is the lowest in carbs of any of the dry foods. The 6 lb bag at PetFoodDirect is about $18. If you do an internet search you might be able to find coupons, or free shipping, maybe free samples.

Hey KT, time to come down a floor or two!

Nice on the PB and fresh jelly. I eat PB and J every day for lunch. I don't know how I could survive without it!!

Planning to test approx pm+8 if he can pry my eyes open....maybe we'll catch that dive but something tells me he's not going to do it.

Methinks he's just gonna sit up there on the mountain in his ugly pink pj's and laugh at all us beans down here scratching our heads....
