Hope it's a good cycle today. Trying Steak Frites this morning, might be too high for it, but might help with a crazy dive.

She started with a yellow yesterday am also and then came down nicely to blue-green zone. She might do the same today.
We wish you a peaceful Sunday

Damn... :arghh: well, my test of using Steak Frites (5.5%) this morning didn't work so well. I was hoping it might help with her big dives at onset.

I'll stick with the normal 0.4%/0.5% for the meal and +1. It's apparent Kona does respond to carbs more sensitively than perhaps other cats.

Hopefully the insulin still gives a good duration and gets us out of the pink this cycle. *sigh*

I wouldn't blame the steak. It's probably a bounce from yesterday's drop ( 100 pts from AMPS to +2) and the long stretch of greens ;)

Thanks, Angela. Looks like she came down some. So that's good. I think I'll give it a break for tests until PMPS.... what do you think? Any value checking today and if so, what times? I was thinking maybe a spot check around +7 or +8?

Awwww, sisters :kiss::kiss::kiss: so cute.
Are they littermates? How do you tell one cuties from the other? :p
Hope Kona clears the bounce soon! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Yes, they were abandoned kittens... I adopted them from a shelter that happened to be at Petsmart while I was there to simply get crickets for my pet tarantula at the time. They were in the center area as I was walking by and Kona caught my eye, then melted my heart right on the spot. Her original name was "Olive." I initially wanted her brother as well, his name was "Lover Boy." Kona and him were the two larger out of the litter and super energetic, so I really wanted them.

The adoption people were super hesitant to let me adopt at all. I think at this time I was in my late 20s, I probably looked like trouble and the ladies running the adoption center really questioned if I could take care of them. I remember filling out all sorts of applications and swore to never let them outside. All stuff that is probably 100% normal and had nothing to do with me at all, but I remember feeling offended and annoyed.

Then for some odd reason after they accepted my application to even adopt, they refused to let me have Lover Boy. It was something stupid like the foster mom didn't want me to take the two best cats or some nonsense. So, they suggested I take "Pearl," the runt, who is now my baby Cleo. I'm sure I would've died for Lover Boy, but Cleo is a total sweetheart and it all worked out.

Here are their adoption papers I saved:

What a heartwarming story, Jason.
It was too bad that they were so judgmental and you totally proved them wrong!
The pictures of "Olive" and "Pearl" are so precious! Those two lucky sisters look so happy now (that YAWN, Cleo!)
Glad it all worked out. Makes my heart warm :)
Thanks for giving me a nice start of the week! :bighug:
