SIgh. She drops very low on 0.1u and then seems to rebound up. So we tried no insulin for a couple of days to maybe work thru any rebound issues, and the BGs seemed to stabilize and then maybe even come down a bit... and then zoomed up higher than they have been in a year.

So, my latest brainstorm is to try SID dosing of 0.1u

Oh, even tho' it's the middle of the day, I told mom to shoot now ... mostly because she was veering on the edge of panic. (I did too good a job 2 years ago teaching her about renal threshold, etc. )

Man, this little girl makes me work! LOL!

It is very odd to see yellows out of nowhere like that really. Have you checked her teeth lately? Any possibility of a UTI? I know every cat is different, but she isn't new to greens, so I wouldn't think she would bounce like that. I think 0.1u SID is definitely worthy of a trial run!

Thanks Kelly. Teeth, etc. are fine, but Grace is recovering from a bout of pancreatitis and was just started on meds for HyperT, so I suspect those are the reasons for coming out of a year remission with the bouncing BGs.

What a cat! 8 hours after getting 0.1u, she has dropped to 70. That is one insulin sensitive kitty!!!

Sigh. Definitely going to SID.
