you were mentioning to marje about giving subq's while frank eats. i had to do it with punkin too, so i fed him and gave him his insulin shot at 7pm, then gave him the subq's at +3 with his next meal. he wouldn't hold still for a moment longer than there was food, so i added water to make it last longer and we started the fluids running the moment he started eating.
perhaps that would be one idea to help you get the fluids at a separate time from the insulin.

Thank you, Julie. He gets fluids tonight and I will try during his second feeding. We don't feed him too far past his shot time because with him, it drives his numbers up. It's a thirty minute difference though, so maybe that will help.
