Ole' Spitzer didn't seem to like the 3:1 Special Kitty: Friskies - there was a substantial amount left in the bowl on each floor. *sigh*

I sat on the floor having my tea, with the freshly stirred leftovers; he basically ignored the bowl.
The minute I put down fresh food in the 2:1 ratio, he chowed down.

AMBG = 45, obviously, no shot.

Going home @ noon to re-check (yes, I'm up till midnight ... sort of).

Not to belabor a point, but getting at least one PM spot check might have let you know just where the PM cycle was going and whether Spitzer spent time in numbers well below that 45.

Spitzer earned a dose reduction. Congratulations.

If his numbers are high this evening, you have the option of shooting your 1.0u dose one last time (i.e., shooting through the bounce) or you can take the reduction. Generally, if the number is pink, I'd consider shooting through the bounce.

Going home delayed 30 minutes due to an ocular migraine distorting my vision.

PS 288

That 288 may be a bounce as Spitzer's body tries to counter the 45 from earlier. He may be dropping overnight, getting lows you're not seeing, then over-compensating the next day with higher numbers.

It looks like you shot at 3:30 Fri. afternoon. Are you planning on shooting at 3:30 AM or skipping the PM shot so you can get back on schedule? I hope you are not planning on shooting at your regular time tonight.

No, that was previous day's test time.

Shot @ 12:30 pm; so staying up late to shoot.

Thanks for changing the SS so everything is on one page, that really helps, BJ. :-D

I notice that you reduced to 0.5u...wondering why you didn't go to 0.75u? Is it a vision issue? If so, you can do it by counting drops...some people measure 1u, then squeeze out and count drops until they get to 0.5u. Then you can squeeze out half as many drops to get to 0.75u. The most important thing is to be consistent with whatever you call the .75u. I know it's hard to measure those 0.75u and 0.25u doses...I use reading glasses AND a lighted magnifier, and I don't have vision issues!

If you want to get back to your normal schedule, you can shoot 15 minutes early each shot, or 30 minutes early once per day. Or, you can skip a shot and resume at the next normal shot time.

I see you are having some testing problems. Maybe try using a higher gauge lancet (28-30) and/or try using a device? I use the lancet pen that came with the confirm meter, it has a clear cap....I've found that helps to line it up with the ear edge better. I also keep pressure on the ear with the device for the count of three after I trigger it, the pressure helps the blood well up. It is getting colder too, do you use a rice sock or rub his ear before poking? Just some thoughts....
