I didn't realize I didn't post last night! Busy evening. I got a new phone and so did my sister. Everything takes twice as long with her, lol. I was home by +2 but it was late and I was starving. Earlier I bought a much needed sofa for my den.

Two years ago my vet thought Max might be going into remission and so we had a three week break from insulin. I was too scared to test at that point and my mom was in the hospital so it's all a blur. Maybe had I been more aggressive he would have gone into remission. Maybe not. If any newbies are reading this learn from me. I wasn't willing to take advice from strangers at first. Don't make that mistake. The people here really know what they are doing more than most vets. Even the best of them.

The darn car-------- I went to AAA to find out what I could do. They gave me a one time traveling pass. Ridiculous since I'm told to drive, drive, drive. The good part is tge date isn't on it so should I get stopped I can say it's my one time. I'm taking it to the mechanic this morning again. Wish me luck!

Prayers and vines continue for Marje, Gracie, and Mike, Tricia's 4, Amy's DF and all else in need.

Oh my goodness! That darn car!!!! And here I was thinking I'd have to go through your past condos to find the good news and congratulate you :facepalm:.

Don't stress too much about what could have been with Max's numbers. We all just saw how a kitty on insulin for years can suddenly go OTJ :) Maybe Carla and Furball started a trend??? Anti-jinxes!!!!

I only stressed about him going OTJ the first year. My comments are for newbies should they read this to learn from my possible mistakes. Then again I really think all those years of chronic pancreatitis prevented his pancreas from healing. Thanks, Gabrielle.

Nice start for Max today. I hope you like your new phone. I can't believe your car saga is still going on. I hope it gets resolved soon.

Very nice start for Max today. :D:D:D I feel like Eddie and I lucked out the first time around in going OTJ, and who knows what will happen this time.

I do think Carla and Furball remind us that it's never too late for OTJ. That said, I remember when we first were starting out here, and of course Eddie was bouncing, and I couldn't make sense of his patterns, I was looking at every spreadsheet I could find to try to find examples of kitties that started out bouncy like Eddie and then flattened out. Max's spreadsheet is such a great example of that! Bouncers can and do settle down and become very well regulated.

Have a good day and good luck with the car!

Yes, bouncers can finally stop bouncing and get well regulated even if they can't go OTJ. I find it interesting that Max never goes down much in his insulin needs. There is something to be said for these level cycles. It's easier in the bean.

Thanks for checking in Jen, Carla, and Gabrielle.

The car nightmare continues! I'm supposed to be driving it as many mikes as I can but traffic is crazy this week. It was crawling at 2:30.

Looks like another fine day for Max today!! Sure is nice seeing all that green on his spreadsheet! :D:D:D

I can't believe you're still fooling with that silly car! Hope this isn't something you need to do every year!

Yes. I like the green. The car needs a smog every 2 years.
