Well, today is my "Dumb Bean Day" Know thy cat right. Well, I know she is always right behind me. I was using the ladder for decorations and she loves to sit on the top. I removed her majesty and went up the ladder. When I was coming down I stepped on her. She screamed, she is limping a little. Hopefully nothing is broken. Will know more tomorrow. She is more than a little frustrated with me.

WCR: otherwise she if fine. AMBG 102, PMBG 57. That's my silly Tuffy, still doing her own thing.

Hope all have a good night. Hope Keri made out alright at the vet. Positive vines and thoughts to her.

Tuffy has a hematoma ( politically correct for a bruise) and that is the cause of the swelling. Vetty said I could use ice if she will tolerate it. She is not limping anymore but putting a little distance between her and me. Hope she has forgiven me and also learned her lesson, I have.

oh no. Hopefully she is just a little sore. I have stepped on paws before and it always scares me more than it hurts them. I hope that is the case here.

Oh Barbara, I'm sorry, I hope Tuffy is ok! I've done that with one of my cats, she's like my little shadow, always underfoot....she's always been ok, I hope Tuffy will be also. Sending healing vines for Tuffy.

Oh, no, poor lil girl. I hope you scared her more than hurt her. Glad you didn't fall.

I had the same thought as Nina -- I've tried to avoid stepping on a kitty and taken a tumble. I hope Tuffy is OK and it's more her dignity than anything else that's bruised.

oh my goodness, poor Tuffy!
I hate stepping on a cat, tripping over them is no fun either. Feel better Tuffy
and take it easy Barbara! Accidents happen ((((hugs))))

if she's in pain and doesn't have any medical conditions that would contra-indicate use of aspirin, you can give a baby aspirin (NOT ADVIL!!!). 81mg. Will help with pain and swelling.

Danger once got his arm stuck in my slatted pub chairs and hung for a bit before I got to him. He didn't yelp when I felt his arm, but it was tender. Vet said a baby aspirin was good.

Ouchie. Hope Tuffy is doing better.

Curry is always underneath my feet. I step on her paws....she yelps....and her sister, Sidney, comes running to Curry to make sure she's OK.

Poor kitty and bean! I hope she's back to normal tomorrow. I hate it when I step on a tail or paw...for obvious reason and because it's such a terrible jolt to hear that yelp!

Poor Tuffy! I cannot count the number of times I have done that... sad but true. I hope she is OK - probably hurt you more than it did her. I have one cat that has to be right at my heels 24/7, I'm always bumping into her, stepping on her, tripping, knocking her over. Shesshhhh - one would think that she'd figure out that those things called feet can be dangerous. :lol: I hope Tuffy is fine.

Thanks Cyn I gave her some baby aspirin. She is a little sore and swollen. Of course, she thinks she is dying. Never having known pain it is a whole new experience for Tuffy.

Thanks for all the sympathy. Tuffy and I appreciate it. I'm glad I did not fall. I have one that winds through my legs when I am walking and I keep telling him if you trip me and I break a hip who will feed you? He does not answer.

Off to bed 5:00 a.m. comes early. Last cold day till Sunday then we start all over.

I so know what you are saying, as I have stepped on them many times--
Poor Tuffy, pampered princess, never having felt any pain, she must be very upset!
But I know you are even More upset!!

How is Tuffy this morning? Still swollen? Or acting like nothing happened?

Has your vet prescribed baby aspirin in the past?

Just a note on the side here....I looked it up online (because I always heard to NOT give aspirin to kitties)
and from what I read quickly, it is okay to give baby aspirin (if the vet prescribes it) but never EVER Tylenol so it's best for anyone else to contact their vet in any case....

Hi Barb,
I hope you and Tuffy are doing well today! Isn't it a catch when you ask one of the critters a question, and they just look at you with that "wouldn't you like to know" face, lol
