Should i stay at a drop? His appetite has been good-med good for about two days

Also has any one used these “catchall urine sticks”? Lando seems to always test high on leukocytes even when the bet says he tests fine on his labs.
Lando had some unusual litterbox behavior this am 6 visits in quick succession. He has stopped now. Does anyone have insight on whether i should get him to the vet sooner than wednesday ( their first opening)

I think the strips are reliable for glucose and ketones only.

If he wasn’t urinating it would be an emergency but since he did go not an emergency. Just watch as it could be a uti if this persists and if he doesn’t produce it could be a blockage.

That is EXACTLY what the vet office said! You know your stuff elise. Thank you, you are so generous

I used those strips personally for my kidney issues due to lupus...I agree with Elise...those arent very reliable for anything but ketones and glucose...protein values not bad but not as accurate

I wish I didn’t know. All I know I learned because my cats had it happen and I’ve only had 5. :( Max blocked when he was 5 and I almost lost him. He taught me about pancreatitis, heart disease, and of course fd. I learned about ckd and lymphoma from Tiffany. Now Mocha is teaching me bout allergies which I think might be the most difficult to treat. I told my vet I went into the wrong profession!

Im so sorry that the knowledge comes at such a big price :( . I guess the only silver lining is that you are sparing other cats pain. I e heard allergies are a HUGE struggle. I hope i can help you and mocha one day as youve helped lando and i!
