Marilyn's "breakthrough" yesterday, sent her hightailing back in the wrong direction. Maybe since she "saw blue" this morning, she decided to go "back in black"...which was fine when AC/DC sang it...but not so good for her.

Earth to Marilyn, come back please.

Those were some mighty pretty blues.

nice blue today!

Tonight is the 8th cycle of 1.5u, correct? Can you update your spreadsheet when you get a chance?

I wanted to add this reply to "Marilyn's Today" condo, as I am sure many will miss it from her aging 12/03/11 condo:

Hello All,

I wanted to thank all of you for your support, and personal experience, with numbers such as Marilyn's. I was running on very little food & sleep for over a week, so I finally crashed & burned, and got some much-needed rest. Sharing your own experience with the type of numbers I was/am getting, and the way your kitties felt, or responded to those numbers, was just what I was looking for...your stories were quite calming.

I apologize for going MIA...but as of now, I have 12 out of 12 animals with daily charts, on a clipboard in my kitchen. This means they are all "special needs" at the same time. I don't believe this has ever occurred before, or it has, and I've blocked it from memory. Anyway, I will attempt to play catch-up with my daily condos...hopefully tonight.

Marilyn made some progress yesterday, so she either turned "that corner", I wasn't sure existed...or, she's just messing with my head. I'll know better when I get some PM numbers this evening.

Thanks again to all of you. I can't emphasize enough what a relief your individual stories were for me.

Hi Libby,

Marilyn's SS is updated. After midnight tonight she will start her 9th cycle at 1.5u. Unfortunately, she is at her low points when I am "supposed to be" sleeping. So I still don't know how low she actually goes. I wanted to get an AM+7 today, but couldn't hang in there. It's scary for me that she's at her lows, on Lantus, while I'm asleep.

First, there's no huge need to go back and set up a condo-a-day if you don't post. Just keep your SS up to date. If you need to summarize what's happened when you're unavailable that's fine. We love hearing what's been going on with you and Marilyn. At some point, when/if you have time, you may want to complete a Profile. It will give us Marilyn's background and you can tell us a little bit about your "dozen."

Congrats on those blues. Now we've got to start working on those bounces!

Is Marilyn getting any DM dry? If so, can you give it to your other cats? (Well, if they'll eat it! My guys thought I was nuts when I gave them DM.)

Re: 12/06/11 Marilyn AMPS:375 +3:301 +5:192 +6:181 PMPS:531

Hi Sienne,

My two remaining brain cells cannot follow the directions for a "Profile" doc right now; maybe at another time. I'm afraid I could sleep for a week straight, without interruption, and still not shake this exhaustion.

Marilyn is confined to a group of 5. They are my only "group" that doesn't free-feed, due to morbidly obese "Mini & Mico"...I know it's ironic. Since starting insulin, Marilyn must be caged overnight, usually with less than 1/16 cup DM dry, just in case she needs it. She usually samples it, but rarely empties the bowl. It's not because she doesn't like the DM dry; I suppose she is just full from her 1 1/4 cans of Friskies Pate. Marilyn is under 9.6 lbs., and therefore, is a smallish cat.

I hope that answers your question. I'm not sure why you were asking if the others could have DM dry...maybe to prevent future diabetics? I've thought about that...but not ready to change 4 more cats to more expensive food at this moment.
