Hello LL!
here we are, Luna, DBF Shawn, and I, opening a condo cuz Luna decided to fall off the wagon on what would of been his 11 months OTJ today. ohmygod_smile
As shown on our SS, Luna gets checked every month on his annifursary date.
So I began yesterday and surprise, surprise, what are you doing up there Luna?
I am bummed out yea, not panicking, as u can see from our WCR, he is mocking me by being all fine and dandy. Even doing rollee-pollee's, little picklebutt! cat(2)_steam
WCR:
Besides a couple of wee little burps in the past few days, his usual indicator of a not-very-often toss up, I waited and waited for a hairball and more signs of tummy troubles, but nothing else came out of it. It's been 24 hours of these numbers now, and nothing else has changed. The highest we recorded was 334 last nite around +4
He has a little wee scratch on his head from scratching a bit too hard about a week ago, got his nails trimmed, cleaned it with a wet cloth a few days ago, healing fine. Barely there. Been there, done that.
All P's in check, we peeked at his teeth yesterday, nothing unusual, no stinky breath, but seeing nothing doesn't always indicate all is peachy. Luna has never had a dental, he has had teeth looked at with a suggestion for cleaning couldn't hurt. Couldn't get to that this past year due to having being unemployed most of the year.
Come the new year, it is something we will look into.
Eating fine, no visible signs of struggling to chew, (Wellness turkey and chicken) adding a little extra water to his food, no action on the water bowl, alert, playing, chasing his sis, napping, pee and poop is fine. Yappy yappy, I'm so cute attitude.
No signs of being "off". Whatever is up his causing the rise - we will get to the bottom of it.
Stocked up on all supplies, waiting on a pee/ketones check today.
So, Luna will be going for a vetty visit tomorrow kicking and screaming, if they can squeeze him in.
He is a very stressed kitty when he goes on a trip, but on the bright side, he really liked his new vet from last year, Dr W.
Amazingly enough, he was very calm the last time he saw her.
DBF is off work earlier than me during the work week, and we'll see when he can get Luna in there for a full check up, C&S, labs, teeth checked etc...
The plan for today is to continue to monitor today, to see how high into the pinks he gets, and crack open the Lantus for his favourite fat zero dose for a 5pm shot.
We both work during the week, so will have to shoot an hour earlier than our old schedule. And sorree, no tickee, no washee for us, cuz there will be no nadir checks till da weekend.
And so it begins.
yesterdays testing numbers based on our old 12/12 (6am/6pm)schedule:
AM: +4/210
+5/230
+7.5/253
+11/291
PM: +2/329
+4/334
+6.5/304
this morning
