AMPS 88 shooting 1.5u

I had trouble getting Boomer to eat his +3 last night and it was only 4 hours after the mirtazapine! But he did eat a bit overnight. And he ate about half of his breakfast.

Today is cycle #14 on this dose and he's been all green with only 2 exceptions and the one exception I'm totally ignoring because he was 101. Waiting to see what he does today. Yesterday he dropped into the 50s for the first time on this dose and I'm really trying to avoid those lows because his appetite is even worse in low numbers.....and it's bad enough the rest of the time!

Good kitty Boomer! Stay green but eat a bit more ok? :D
I find Leo is less hungry and sleeps more when he's green. Pancreas healing uses up a lot of energy?

Maybe his waning appy is just because of better numbers. Have you checked the number of calories a day he consumes? Could he be getting too many and just not wanting them all anymore? Just a thought.

Now that is cold outside, Bubba isn’t staying outside for more than 20-30 mins which means he lays around and sleeps more now and I’ve noticed his appy has waned with his inactivity.

This morning at AMPS he ate about half his serving. I then proceeded to try to get him to take a few bites from the fork. I've decided that this may be part of the problem; I'm still wanting him to eat the normal amount even though his levels are lower and he needs less food. So I backed off. I did put his leftovers on his desk once he was up there, he didn't eat them so I took them away.
DH tested at +3 then scooped Boomer's food out of the auto feeder onto a plate. Boomer ate then DH put the leftovers on the desk and Boomer finished it off.
So I'm going to try to let Boomer decide how much food he wants :rolleyes:
 
+6 88 and he's standing watching his auto feeder....let's see if (and how much) he eats when it opens......and yes he went right over to it and ate about half. Then he did a half walk half run (kind of like a skip lol) down the hall! So I've scooped the rest out on a plate; he came back and is eating it now. He didn't finish it and that's ok.

What the heck?
I just got finished saying to DH that his number sometimes comes down from +6 "probably because he doesn't eat much at +9". Well, he didn't eat anything at +9 and I let it go. He also didn't want his chicken pieces at the Beans' dinner at +11. And I was just about to reduce him tomorrow morning to 1.25u because he had been in good numbers for a week.
Oh, and I thought I was going to have trouble getting him to eat at PMPS. He turned his nose up at turkey pate. I change it out to ff and he ate about half.
I guess I'll see what tomorrow brings.
