Good morning,
Had a long night last night, to see details please check SS and previous posting from 12/03......

AMPS 292 4 units

will post the outcome!

THANKS FOR BEING WITH US.

It was a long night for you!! You probably could have gone to sleep after the +5 BUT you have very good data now. You saw a small bounce from the green earlier in the day. We'll have to see where Tubby goes today. Great job shooting and monitoring last night.

Re: 12/04/10 Tubby AMPS 292 OUESTION

Could someone please tell me what is the feeding procedure?
He was fed this morning after the shot , later got some chicken breast (raw) after the test.
Now he is hungry again asking for food. He is hungry but if I feed him his numbers will get
messed up. What is the right thing to do?

Many of us feed in installments. I divide up Gabby's food into 4 parts. She gets fed at pre-test, +1, +2, and +3. Feeding in smaller, more frequent amounts puts less of a burden on the pancreas than one big meal. Until Tubby starts spending more time in lower numbers, there's a good chance he'll be hungry. It's the nature of diabetes -- it's often referred to as a starving disease. Because glucose isn't getting into the cells efficiently, Tubby is hungry. It's OK to feed. It won't mess up his numbers in a big way since you're feeding low carb food.

As an FYI: If you have a question, if you change your subject line in your first post of the day's thread and indicate you need help, have a question, etc., people will respond. If you don't change the subject line, people may not stop in or notice that you have a question. Likewise, it helps to keep the subject line updated with the most recent BG tests. That way is people see something noteworthy , they will comment.

Here is the link to yesterday's condo Shawn: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=31271

We link our previous condo to the first post of each day. We can then just click on the link to see what transpired the previous day. It keeps all our condos linked together. do you know how to do the link?

here is a post that describes how to link the previous condo: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=31299#p324246

EAT: here is a link to the instructions for making a Profile and attaching it to your signature Shawn. When was Tubby dx?

Shawn...awesome work last night. Sorry I faded out on you but Tubby's numbers looked pretty high and safe; of course, never any knowing for sure what they will do. I was up with Gracie ALL night Thursday night trying to keep her above 50 so I just tuckered out on you....I knew there were lots of folks around if you needed anything. Super job!!! So glad to see you testing and getting data. Pat always says flat yellow means action to come so no telling what Tubby has in store for you later...perhaps the PM cycle??  I feed the same schedule as Sienne although I often give Gracie a teeny tiny (1/2 tsp) 0-1% carb snack at +5 because she gets too hungry if I don't. Anything like that usually needs to be small and low carb and before nadir, Jill tells me. Have a great day!!
