It is a secondary insulin available OTC and has to be used with caution for kitties that have trouble getting out of high numbers. Lantus/Levemir is good at keeping low numbers down, but can have a hard time bringing sustained high numbers down & that's where R comes in. Not recommended for non-acro/non-IAA kitties.Oh, ok. Nelli doesn’t get “R”- not even sure what it means?
