Yesterday, some nice greens, so now she bounces.

9/8 Recap:
AMPS 91  +3 215 +9 64  +10.5 109
PMPS 113 +5 224

Kitty alarm clocks went off as normal this morning. Right after testing, Neko disappeared. Very unusual as food is next on the agenda. Then I heard the sound of LB digging downstairs. Yup, down visiting her favorite LB that is beside Mr. AC Tires. There are 2 LBs on the main floor, but I like that she has the energy to go down and visit her favorite.

Bounce day in Nekoland means a quiet one. She's spending a good part of it on her memory foam bet. Blue skies have started to appear so she might yet visit the solarium.

The down side of blue skies is I could go out and continue the leaf raking project. Instead, I'm making poppies and a wreath. On Tuesday for Remembrance Day, I'm going up to the island for the service. The island is rural but the service is a big deal up there with lots of people attending. There's a small parade and the old warbird trainers pass overhead at the end of the service. My DF is one of the last WWII veterans on the island. And after many years of saying we should, the family is going to lay a wreath to honour my DGU who is the first name on the cenotaph there. It's the 100th year of the start of WWI.

I hope Neko's bounce is a short one. Of course she had to visit the lb by Mr. AC Tires.

Hi Wendy,
How neat that Neko loves Mr. AC Tires so much that she honors him with her litterbox contributions!

Your wreath-laying ceremony will be a solemn, but wonderful experience. My father and my uncles were World War I vets and my brother is a World War II vet. My mother used to tell us of the big celebration in New York City on the day of the Armistice, and we always remembered "the 11th Hour of the 11th Day of the 11th Month" in our family. The Brooklyn Botanic Garden used to have two long columns of red maple trees that had been planted on Armistice Day 1918. Edward and I liked to visit the "Armistice Maples", so somber in their dark red leaves, every November 11th. Over the years most of them died and they have been replaced by columns of red oaks to honor all veterans.

Have a nice, rest-day evening!

Good recovery, Neko. Did your date with Mr. ACT have anything to do with that? Good to hear she's feeling good. :-D

It's good of you to make the wreath for the ceremony, Wendy. And appropriate to have it on the 100th anniversary.

Thanks for the visit, Wendy. I'm trying to be patient. It's so hard not to get emotional over their numbers, isn't it? I'm glad there is a good turnout for the veterans. Lord knows they deserve it. Have a good evening!!

Neko had a beautiful cycle yesterday and really nice one today as well, not much of a bounce is it? What is up with her attachment to Mr.A/C Goodwrench anyways?? That is so neat you will be able to honor your DF- my FIL passed last year, he was also a WWII vet, we will probably go back to the Senior Living Home where he lived while he was alive- they do a very nice Veteran's Day service. I kind of hate to rake the leaves yet, because I know if I do, there will be another wind or rain storm and the patio and lawn will be covered again... Thanks for your post on Tiger's condo the other day, she is doing much better! :-D

Re: 11/9 Neko AMPS 131 PMPS 140

Neko looks like she's having a nice day despite the little yellow. YAY for LBs all over the place!!!! How beautiful that you all will lay a wreath for your DGU! Have a wonderful evening, Wendy!!!

As per usual, Neko goes down for the PM cycle.

@Carla, Ella, Liz, Tara, Ruth, Deborah - Thanks for pointing Neko in the right direction for the PM cycle. She had at least one more visit with Mr. Tires - it's the rubber smell/texture she likes rubbing against. Project poppy is completed, now I just have to make the wreath to put them on.
