Saying Thank You is hardly enough to describe the way we feel about all the Kind Donations of money, supplies, and food & litter & all Moonie's care that you have made available to us...
Although this experience is so depressing, humbling, and so difficult for us,Our Dear Friends here in Lantus Land, DCIN and all members of FDMB have shown us the beauty of the human spirit, That our friendships here are more than just discussing our darling furbabies, that everyone has such a big heart...

WE are deeply grateful for what you have given us for our darling Moonie, who has become such a little funny character!! She leaps from bed to bed here, today tried to go out in the Hall! and is just so happy as she has me & Brad hold up in a giant bedroom with scritching virtually whenever she wants it, and of course cuddles..purrs & love.
Her numbers continue to be between 150's -100's and that is fine with me right now..
Giving her her Hyper T med., and I do have to take her for BW as soon as we are settled to be sure this is the right dose...That thanks to you all , I will have money for!!
I plan to start posting more regularly soon...
AND it looks like we will get that 3 rm apt after all-pAWS & Fingers crossed!! WHOOT flip_cat flip_cat flip_cat We will know Monday...
Then maybe a better existence... Oh then we need furniture ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile
WE will just get essentials, bed, sheets, tv,in that order   table & chairs, couch, etc--glasses, dishes, the Whole Shebang...A small price to pay for Moonie to be safe when I go out, & wont have to worry!

So my Darling Lantusians--and sweet lovey furbabies, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts...To know how much you care about us is overwhelming....Thank you Thank you, Thank you~~Hugs & Love from us!

(((Roni & Moonie))) so good to hear from you :YMHUG: :YMHUG: You give so much of yourself to all of us all the time here in LL you deserve it. Well, Moonie seems to be quite the character enjoying herself in her new digs there. :-D Her numbers seem good, too, so that you have less worry. That is great about the 3 bedroom apartment. I have a feeling you will get it. We have missed you but so glad you all are okay. So sorry about the devastation and damage to your house. Lots of hugs and prayers and vines from me and Maggie.

Roni, Its great to see this post! :-D Sounds like Moonie has made the motel room her very own spacious ultra deluxe kitty condo with 24/7 bean service whenever she wishes to partake. :-D  Hope you get that apt and Moonie can get going on making it her new nest with you.

Hi Roni!
It's so good to hear you feeling a little better about life. This was such a tragedy but the most important thing is that you all escaped with your lives and that's what is precious. You deserve everything you got from us and actually much more. Too bad we're not all millionaires. It would be so nice if we were able to really give a lot. I hope you can get into the apartment quickly and get some kind of routine going while your house is being worked on. I'm so happy Moonie is doing well in all this craziness! What a cat!!! :-D

Love & Hugs,
Melanie & Racci

It's wonderful to hear from you, and a great report! We've still got you in our thoughts and prayers!!! :YMHUG:

You are so very welcome, we are all glad to help out, in any way that we can. Paws crossed for the apartment and for Moonie's BW. Big hugs!
Liz

(((Roni))).....my heart is beating joyously, to hear you in an upbeat mood. For you to sound so good, makes my heart happy.
I'm so sorry you have to go thru all this, but happy that you are dealing so well.
Miss Moonie must be just overjoyed to have her mama and papa bean at her disposal at all times... cat_pet_icon

I'm so glad you're going to get the apt you want.

Great big cyber hugs to you, Brad and Miss Moonie. :-D

Yahoo on the apartment and I am so happy that things are looking better and Moonie is doing well. Scritches to Moonie and hugs to you and Brad. :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Hi Roni, we are so happy to know that things are getting better! Moonie is in good condition & adjusting so well, this must be of great help to you & DH.
We saw on TV President Obama's speech, very inspiring. "Change" was the last & now, "Forward" is the word. Wish you'll get the appartment & have the household ready for Christmas!
Looking forward to visit Moonie's condo!

Hi Roni, Brad, and Moonie,

We are so happy that things are working out for you. You certainly do deserve it. You have always been here for us and now we want to lend a hand. Keeping all fingers and paws crossed for good news about the apartment on Monday. In the meantime, we are sending
GREAT BIG HUGS!

And lots of love,

Ella & Edward and Rusty

p.s. Talk to you tomorrow.

Oh, so very nice to see you, Roni!!! My heart goes out to you, Brad and Moonie. Although you lost your home, it looks like things are looking up....will hope and pray the apt. is yours and you can once again set down roots, at least for the time being.
Just an fyi....the FDMB & DCIN raffle now has one more basket...The Wheezer Mystery Basket, with all proceeds going to you guys. Not sure how much we'll get, but it's a fun way to help raise some money and help out a friend, all in one!
Hugs to you all....stay safe, enjoy and be thankful you have each other.....and give Moonie some of those scritches for me!!!

Roni I'm glad Moonie is doing so well. I hope everything goes well with her bloodwork when you get a chance to get that done. I hope you get the 3 room apartment. I will be praying for you, Brad & Moonie.

Hello Roni,
Still praying for your family to get thru the weeks and months to come to get back to "normal".
It's really good to hear you sounding upbeat and ready to tackle the next steps.

Below is some info that perhaps you can share with neighbors , especially those who are struggling with getting back on their feet who
may not have insurance or family nearby.
Our church was one of the "stations" for helping fire victims when our town burned down years ago.
This organization brought in beds, dressers, table/chairs, boxes of immediate supplies, food, toothbrushes/toiletries , cleaning supplies....
and I pulled up the addresses of where this stuff will be dropped off for any one who shows up and needs it so you might have one
near you. Sounds like they are struggling to keep up but I know how they are, they will keep sending supplies as long as there are people
in need.
And perhaps you can even get something to start out your apartment.

As of today, Friday November 9th, we have sent close to a $1 Million worth of supplies to the victims of Sandy, and will continue to send goods as long as congregations want to work. Even though we are doing our part, we are a drop in the bucket. The population is so dense, that a truckload with 324 food boxes, personal care boxes, cleaning buckets, water, bedding, water, rakes, shovels, brooms, mops, can all be distributed in 1-2 days. We are sending trucks out as quickly as they can drive back, and we can reload them. We have ordered truckloads of many of the supplies we send with every truckload sp we can keep up with the need. In some instance we must wait a day or so on our supplies to be replenished, so we can send them out. 90% of what we send is prepackaged, so it can be immediately given out. Nobody has to oversee tables of food, or clothing or personal care goods, it’s ready, boxed and sealed, ready to hand out.

The congregations we’ve sent to are as follows:

Roosevelt Freeport Chuch of Christ, Roosevelt, NY – 3 truckloads for Long Island NY area

Gateway Church of Christ, Holmdel NJ – 2 truckloads for Union Beach New Jersey area

Garretson Road Church of Christ, Bridgewater, NH – 1 truckload for Bridgewater area, NJ

Toms River Church of Christ, Toms River, NJ – 1 truckload for coastal region near Toms River

West Islip Church of Christ, West Islip, NY – 1 truckload for southern coast of Long Island NY

Freehold Church of Christ,Freehold, NJ – 1 truckload for Long Branch NJ area

Riverhead Church of Christ, Riverhead, NY – 1 truckload for far east coastal area of Long Island NY

Another truck is ready to go to the Bridgeport Church of Christ, Bridgeport, CT for the Bridgeport area, but cannot be sent until 10″ of snow has been removed from their streets.

HI Roni - it is good to hear from you. It is great too to hear that Moonie is doing OK. I so hope that you will find a place to call home soon, until you are back in your home. Wishing you all the best of luck with everything!

Roni - fingers crossed for the apartment! What, you mean sheets is a higher priority than a TV?!? :-) I love how Moonie jumps from bed to bed and has TERRIFIC values through all of this. We are so jealous!

HUGS!!!

Wait...a three room apartment? Why do you need the other two rooms? Moonie only wants you guys to have a studio~ a ONE room apartment....so she can keep track of you two. (And you will be right there for kisses and hugs!! LOL) Well, she will just have to get used to the huge place once you get there.
Sounds as if she is doing well. I am so happy to hear that. And in turn, you two are well too...a lot to be thankful for! Stay safe and keep warm....sending lots of hugs and love to you three! :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

((Roni)) so happy to hear from you guys. Always thinking of you and praying that you will come through this. Glad to hear things are looking up a bit. Know that we are all here for you and I am glad you have such wonderful support here. Give Moonie hugs and be safe. Prayers!

I think Pat is right! Moonie will lose you in all that space! confused_cat Sounds great to beans though. Remember if you need anything we are all HERE for you!

Glad to hear from you - as always, if you need anything let me know. I can give you a minitower computer if you want it - it's several years old but works fine and is plenty fast for all but the most demanding games. Also to give away I have piles of spare computer and TV cables, DVD players, a wifi router/switch, a wired phone, a standard Kindle, and I could lend you a small TV, sheets, towels, etc. You could drive over and pick up whatever you want. I know how overwhelming the sheer amount of STUFF needed for everyday life is! Fingers crossed for the 3 room apt!

Roni -

Wishing you and yours success in getting into your new place. I know how crazy life gets when you're displaced, having helped friends who lost their homes in Hurricane Floyd. Don't rush into any big decisions - take one day at a time, and enjoy the moments that you get to breathe easier. Sounds like Moonie is doing his part, giving you great numbers and lots of entertainment!

Continued blessings to you & your family.

Lu-Ann
