Surprise to me this morning! Luci is actually out of the lemon tree and starts the day with a nice number. As I've said I'm avoiding pushing her too much and minimizing the testing because of her broken foot - just less handling and less grumbling from her. She is certainly hitting all the P's now - peeing, pooping, purring - well almost...she's not playing at all - but she does seem very content and is able to relax on her warm lanai - I sure hope it's because her leg isn't as painful to her as it was this last week...perhaps she's healing quickly? I can only hope. Waiting nearly a month for the next x-ray to see how she's doing is going to be a tough month!:nailbiting:

At any rate, with this low number she ate a really good breakfast and I suspect she's in an active cycle and possibly going down, down. I'm going to have to retrieve her to test again in an hour or so - even tho she doth protest...can't take a chance on her slipping too low today.

Hope everyone has a good day - so sad for @Bronx's dad as his loss is so fresh and the wound is deep...and on the other hand so happy for our OTJ kid @Briere Fur Mom - Ittle - who decided his own path to OTJ which did not include any of that silly tapering business.
 
Beautiful start for Luci! I hope she skims safely for you today. I can't imagine the anxiety you're both going through dealing with her boo boo. Luci's recheck appt. will be here before you know it. And when that cast is removed...look out! She'll be moving and grooving, Luci style.:)

So happy to hear Luci is doing well, it's hard to play with a cast on, poor kitty. :bighug:
Hope the next month goes by really quickly for Luci (and you) so her paw gets all healed and her dental gives her beautiful white teeth!

You are being such a good and kind nurse for Luci - her AMPS sure looks nice today too. No diving little miss! As bad as timing seemed, Luci has the perfect place for recovery - one story home and warm or much warmer weather. Make sure to take care of yourself too and have some fun!
 
Luci had other ideas today about relaxin! She decided to try some surfing!:eek::eek: Even with a broken foot!! :cool:I'm sure she overheard DH talking yesterday about taking a few hours and going to visit a nearby town with cute antique shops today...:oops:

I went off early to the farmer's market and grocery store - like usual Saturday mornings - and when I came back Miss Luci had decided that TODAY was THE day to visit the lagoon - a nice 68!:eek: Here, this is for you mama!:kiss: And now you can just forget about going to that other town to visit cute antique stores because YOU ARE STAYING HOME WITH ME! And here we sit...:banghead:

Just remember the golden rule of aluminum foil!:facepalm: Never ever talk about your plans in front of these cats!:p If you must discuss future plans or arrangements, go outside or otherwise leave the house and then put your foil caps on so they don't read your thoughts when you come back inside - with plans made to go somewhere that doesn't involve them.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

So much for the beach or anything else today ... well it got a bit rainy and windy anyway...although the sun appears to be peeking out from behind the clouds now and it would have been so nice to actually go somewhere fun for a few hours on a non-work day, Luci had other ideas...:D:D:D (that is Luci laughing at us from the lanai)...her two loyal and faithful subjects.:smuggrin:
 
Hope Luci's foot heals quickly & she stays off High places!!:stop:
