Good morning! I awoke to the sound of Chispa finishing her midnight snack an hour or so before shot time, so this high-ish AMPS comes as no surprise. She is definitely liking this dose (demonstrated by not yelling throughout the day), and I will probably keep her on it through the weekend, since I have plans to be out at mid-day both Saturday and Sunday. After that I’ll increase unless her numbers come down.

In other news, it is snowing here. NOT COOL. @Amy & Herman , I am thinking of you and wondering if you have any special strategies for dealing with the long Canadian winters — all the more so since staying inside and pretending it’s not happening is absolutely not an option for you!

Happy Thursday to all sugar cats and peeps! :bighug::cat::coffee:

I'm so envious. I loooove snow. We moved to the undelands so I hope we'll see snow here. Last winter we still lived the mountains and it was a delight for me. But obv Swiss winters are not like the Canadians (though I don't think I'll mind them).
Hope you have a good day :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Karen! I love snow, except by April, then I start being tired of it. I think as long as your feet and hands and ears are warm, you're good. So good boots and gloves are the key! It's so pretty, too.

Hi Karen!
I am so conditional about the snow. I love it if 1) I don't have to drive and 2) I don't have to shovel.
Soon or later, we will have snow - it's important for our water reserve, so I should welcome it.
As long as I stay home, with a large cup of hot chocolate, just watching flakes fall....
Kit, I'm with you -- it's fine as long as I can admire it from a distance. And you're right, it's an excuse for hot chocolate! Love that!!:joyful:

Any excuse for hot chocolate for me :) Last year I was riding horses in the mountains in the snow and I felt like in a dream. It was the perfect place and scene for me

Thanks, Diane! That 63 was quite a surprise, but I should know by now that they look over our shoulders as we are typing in order to do the opposite of what we expect. Sending hugs to you and Tyler :bighug::bighug::cat::bighug::bighug:

the winter is tough! Herman grows a crazy thick coat so he still gets some decent outdoor time (he has a cat flap that is open during daylight hours), he can also get to the stables and indoor arena as it’s right next to my house….but nothing compares to being outside most of the day playing with his cat friends and sleeping in the sun on the porch! We also do lots of indoor play sessions. His favourite toy is a broccoli elastic tied on the end of a bit of twine. :)
That said winter is much a harder on me than him, my chores quadruple. I’m perpetually exhausted. Why do I have horses at as a hobby! Stupid lol

@Amy & Herman Broccoli elastic on a string, love that! I remember your photo of Herman in the snow, looking like he is in his proper element (so cute). It's great that he can get out and socialize among the horses while you do all the heavy lifting. Chispa is going to be housebound for the next five or six months, but she's a homebody and probably won't mind too much. Me, I don't know ... I'm struggling with these short days and COLD nights. It looks and feels like midnight by 6pm. Thinking I might have to get my place organized once and for all and start inviting people over for dinner so I don't have to go out ... ever. You know those legendary farmers in the Northeast Kingdom of VT, who put on a red wool union suit at the beginning of November and don't take it off for anything until the end of May? I get it now. I might follow suit.
