I've always wanted to put voice recognition software on my laptop...
but I must say that I'm thankful i haven't gotten around to doing so.
I'd be fairly embarrassed to have y'all hear the variety of vocalizations practiced by the B-man today.

it started with him cussing me out vociferously due to the fact that I hung out with his Auntie until about 3am.
When he realized that i had not indulged on a night out on the town,
he switched to loving rumbles and big purrs to share his joy at being alone with me on the couch.

I went for a long hot soak in the tub mid-morning. Since the house was re-fitted the year Tam was able to come home
between the hospital & the nursing home, the tub has a wide ledge running along it,
and invariably when I kick back in there with a book to relax, Binks lays on that ledge, playing with his tub toys as they float by,
and generally just kickin' back with the bean.
Today, he nodded off on the ledge, and slid into the tub :shock: :cool: :lol:
Oh, Lantus folk...if you could hear the boy telling the world at large his tale of woe!!!
He's a little muffled at the moment, wrapped up in a big ol' snuggly towel, but that hasn't stemmed the tide.
he's gone from outrage to sorrow...pity to recrimination...agony at the Torties witnessing his misadventure,
and from retrospective musing to a giggle or two about watching
this unclad bean scramble to rescue a soaking kitty while avoiding panicked claws. :lol: :lol:

he used to willingly get in the tub with me when he was a kitten...those days ended when he hopped
in while I was bathing my Boxer Sean (GA), and accidentally scratched Sean's butt... :shock: :o

Never a dull moment with this fascinating & vocal little boy of mine.

I can't even BEGIN to count the number of P's he's tallied up :-D

and for those of you of an age to recall the smash hit summer scare movie of 1975...

Hey Celi,
It wouldn't be a normal day in your house unless there was some sort of "happening". Today's was pretty good!!! I think Binks deserves a nice treat!

Kitty overboard!!! A wet, mad kitty involuntarily in the tub with you is almost as dangerous as JAWS!!

Besides all wet, Binks is looking good!

my reply is "come watch them for a day...you'll see the entertainment value!"

Hi guys, love the ambg binks! Sorry to hear about your mishap in the tub .. I'm sure my girls would be telling the same woes .. though my boy cheddar (GA) LOVED taking showers with us :shock:

Oh poor Binksy falling in the tub :lol: I don't know what we're going to do when Binks goes back to you know where! You're will have to come back and open up a condo so we can keep up with Binksy. Yes, Maggie wants to come btd, you read my mind. :roll:
How is Tam? That had to be such a shock and so sad for her.

his pm number will have to be early tonight...
Tam and I will be going to a Family memorial for Glen.

This is a downer to share, but this is a really devastating thing for my poor sis.
With her lack of short-term memory, we're dealing with the horror of her forgetting that Glen has died...
so she's faced with the shock & grief time and time again daily.
We have had family members pass away and have simply not told her, in order to avoid this very thing.

One saving grace is that something she is told repetitively over time seems to find it's way into her memory banks,
so hopefully we have chosen the right approach by continually reminding her what's happened.

I generally try to keep binks' condo lighthearted, but this is spilling over from the last couple days...
and I feel better for sharing it.

Ok Binks! Yay on Day 6! Poor boy. The picture in my mind is priceless and one that will have me giggling all night. :lol: Poor guy, but oh how funny. I hope he is all dried off and his masculinity wasn't damaged too much.

WHAT A DAY FOR BINKSY!! Moonie acts like water is hydrochloric acid & freaks out completely if any gets on her--She has never been bathed by us(THank G-D) as she would probably rip our heads off...

Celi, lots of hugs to you and your sis tonight.

Thanks for sharing the misadventures of the Binkster. It gave me a nice laugh tonight after having had a very long day at work. Who says we are too involved with our kitties (besides everyone we know without cats!).
 
Hahahahaha on the tub shenanigans! That Binkster is a funny fellow! Binks is looking good on Day 6....yea!!!
 
Oh my goodness, we laughed so hard at Binks water adventure, we are ashamed of ourselves! It's a whole new image of "at the falls".

So very sorry foe the loss of Tam's friend. Short term memory loss is so difficult. You do such an amazing job of coping with what must be such a challenge.
 
Little Negative Nellie-bean needs to have more faith. :-D
She tells me that it was a lovely gathering, and both she & Aunt Tam's social worker
(who very kindly attended on her own time in support of my Auntie) feel that
the beauty of the remembrance will have a very positive effect on Tam's memory.
There is deep healing power in shared love :-D

yes, there is deep healing power in shared love - i think it is a gift of being in community. tam is so very, very lucky to have you. i hope that it will sink in and she will begin to remember on her own. it would be very hard for her to go through the loss of her dear friend over and over again. i can't imagine.
