Tiggy got the last Bayer Contour strip this morning then we are starting using the old Freestyle lite ones till the new ones come in. So numbers might be a little wacky. He didnt get his cone off again which is good cos the vet called this morning and wants him to wear it for a week.

He is behaving fairly normally.. eating drinking peeing. last night he tried to carry his little toy while wearing the cone.. was very cute. This morning he isnt as weak either, no staggering any more so maybe it was the anaesthetic. Only thing is that he is a little lethargic now but that could be pain and/or meds. He is on Tolfedine.. a NSAID.. will that make him drugged/spacey or is it more like a tylenol/aspririn type painkiller?

Glad Tiggy is doing well today,

Noni is little weak and tired , may I ask what painkiller that been given to Tiggy .

I asked the vet for painkiller yesterday but he only gave some antibiotic ? I called again this morning and he told me that they only have injections of painkiller that I can come take and inject her myself???

He is kinda tired and not eating as much as usual. Seems happy enough but just wants to stay in bed.

we got 4 painkiller tablets but no antibiotic.. Why do you need an injectable one? Cant they just give you bupe liquid or tolfedine pills? ( thats what we have - tolfedine)

I have no idea ! and she can't take the stress of going there again, long trip for her.

I will call the vet today again and try to find tolfedine at any other vet if they don't have it ..

Hi Wendy,
Perhaps put the ? sign in your subject line so someone who knows can answer your question about Tolfedine. Don't let yourself be lulled by the FreeStyleLite meter. It will read lower than the other meters, especially when Tiggy might be in the higher bg numbers.

I hope Tiggy will continue feeling better and better. The meds are almost certainly having an influence on his behavior.

Have a good evening,

Ella & Rusty

Tiggy just had a **** fit. Literally. Runny smears all over the kitchen and the couch. Vet said I had to watch for that. Will see how he is tomorrow. Behaviourally he;s fine and had a nice green today but this is likely a result of the operation yesterday.
