Good Morning, Everyone,

Another cold, gray day here, but warmer than yesterday (22 degrees seems warm after 15!). Even so, Rusty showed no interest in going outside early this morning. Perhaps later, if the sun should decide to make an appearance. Rusty had a good night sleeping with his beans, a good test, shot, Wellness combo breakfast, a nap on his little bed by the radiator, a schmooze with his mamabean, and a weigh-in (16 lbs, 15 oz. Lost 1/2 oz. from the last weigh-in. Good boy!)

Nothing much on the agenda for today. It's senior discount day at the health-food store, so I'll be sure to go there. Otherwise I will try to get caught up on paperwork. Tomorrow a hike is scheduled. We still have our canoe rack up on the car and are being optimistic that perhaps it really will get warmer, as predicted, and we can go for a late-fall paddle. The waterways are still free of ice.

It was great to see a post from Roni yesterday. I'll call her this afternoon to see how they are coping with the nor'easter that dumped about 4 inches of snow on NYC and vicinnity, adding to the power outages just as they were getting them under control. Wow.

Nice AMPS today Rusty! I don't blame him for declaring it an "inside day". That is a little too chilly Rusty. Hope it warms up and you are able to go on your hike tomorrow. Enjoy your shopping. Sounds like a good day for it. Have a great day Ella!

Smart cat! The Lagoon Master is saving his energy or his return to the Lagoon later on.

Did you get any of that snow? The weather last night said it is supposed to warm up again once the storm was through. I hope you get a paddle in.

Morning Ella, 22 degrees is a little better than yesterday. Rusty, stay in your warm bed bed by the radiator, and we'll look for a beach today to get you all warmed up. Have fun at the Health Food Store. One of my favorite markets here also has a sale on vitamins. I hope it does warm up so you can soon get in a paddle. Have a nice day.

Hi Ella. Lovely day for Rusty. I don't blame him for not wanting to go out. Checks stuck his nose out the door to the porch and changed his mind too.
We got to 40's. I hope you get that warm up for the weekend. It would be wonderful for you to get another paddle in. :smile:

Roni said Brad found his dad's ring. I wonder if Roni found any of her jewelry.
I never mentioned it on here, because it wasn't appropriate, but I purchased a beautiful sterling silver, kitty necklace from her, for granddaughter Gabby's, First Holy Communion. I am just brokenhearted for Roni. Thank you for keeping us up to date with her, Ella.

Brrr on the weather there. I don't blame Rusty for staying inside. Hanging out by the radiator is a better place to snooze. Neko just sat on the porch outside the door for a couple of minutes before coming in and it isn't even freezing here yet.

Great cycle for Rusty again, nice and flat. I do hope you get out on the water again. I just took a peek at the webcam outside our boathouse and it's gorgeous. Water is so flat I can see clouds reflected, but we need a coach for safety. The club has one canoe rigged for rowing, and that's a much better option for cold weather.

That's a nice report for Rusty today. I hope the weather warms up for you this weekend and you can get a paddle in. You're a little colder than we were this morning. I thought 29 was cold. :-D

Hi again,
Rusty spent most of the day chillaxin'. I don't blame him: the weather was awful--cold, damp, gray. It has been a "rest" day for his numbers, too, pretty flat and probably reflecting the greens of yesterday. This afternoon we played briefly with "Big Bug" (his favorite toy of last fall, but totally ignored for a long time) and with all 9 or 10 of his bell balls, but he was not in a playing mood.

I spoke with Roni this afternoon and the displacement is increasingly tough on her. She spent all day yesterday in the motel with Moonie, and most of today, too. Moonie has been fine: no more vomiting. This evening they were going to go to a relative's for supper, leaving Moonie alone for about an hour, so I hope that they will be able to have an enjoyable time without too much worry about Monnie. I also hope that they will be able to get settled in somewhere soon. In the meantime, Roni wants you all to know how much she appreciates all the good thoughts and prayers. I don't think she can use her computer yet, so any posting she can do will be from her phone.

Thanks for the report on Roni. I'm sure it has to be depressing to be away from your home and to have lost so much. I hope they enjoy the dinner out tonight.

The Apple Genius Bar is in the local Apple store. One can make an appt with an Apple "genius" to go over any questions or problems one has with any Apple products. I had alot of questions about my new iPhone5 which they answered efficiently. It's really a great thing! I bet they have them in NYC.

Thanks for visiting, everyone. Marje, I'm sure that they have the iPhone5 in NYC! (or did you mean the "Genius bar"?). I have an iPhone4; it doesn't make coffee. I'm waiting for the coffee model before I upgrade.

HI Ella - once again, sorry for the late visit. It seems to be the only time I have these days. It has been another whirlwind day with Nicholas. Such fun we had. And Mannie behaved while we were gone! YAY! I do hope your day has been a good one.

Thanks too for keepoing us updated on Roni and Moonie.
