Mac did get some action yesterday and got down to 70 at +11 an almost 500 point drop! He only went to 249 to start the day so hopefully we will see a downward trend. Did feed a little at 70 because I wanted to shoot and it didn't take much food to bring him up to a shootable number. so win /win ...Mac went down and I got a good night' sleep.

Have a great Friday everyone. I appreciate the support of those who are "watching" Mac's journey. :bighug:

Hi Jill,
I see you give Cerenia and Gaba daily. Does Mac have pancreatitis? Where do you get the Lotus Raw Venison? I need to see if I can find some around my area.

Yes he has a history of pancreatitis. His numbers have been good the last couple of years. I get the Frozen Lotus Raw Venison and the Primal from either Hollywood Feed or Petmania. It is expensive. That is the only downside.

Ok thank you. I'll see if I can find it. My nondiabetic has pancreatitis. I only give cerenia when he's having a flare but I know many people give it every day. I also have gaba but rarely ever use it. Do you give yours both once a day? Does it help prevent a flare up?

I have given Mac Cerenia every day for several years to prevent vomiting. the Gaba is for pain from arthritis. I give 25 mg once a day. and 100 mg for vet visits. Mac has not had pancreatitis in almost 3 years. He was on steroids until that gave him diabetes the first time. Once I stopped those he went into remission until this past summer.
