They are running a Caturday Catnip special today, in honor of Catmint Caturday - lots of nip in those pies! They have even used their signature nip cheese. Best order early! OOOOOOOOO! They have perfected their NY Style hot dog pies. MAJOR YUM!!!! Try one, you'll see! Just order the Mannie and Stu Special! so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Double shot espressos, with beans from deep within the mountain slopes of Africa, AND.... for all my Mocha fans: a venti quad peppermint white chocolate mocha, with peppermint infused whip, garnished with peppermint candy chips and white chocolate shavings... It is my bean's fav! SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of peppermint and vanilla and chocolate and caramel swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, sprinkled with peppermint chips and a chocolate caramel drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good!

I hope everyone had a great day yesterday, and a great week. Happy Halloween, one day late. ;-) The days with the boys have been good ones! We have been very busy, that part of life has not changed. Will it ever? ;-) NOPE!! :-D :-D :-D    What a BUSY week! We have been swimming, and hiking, to the park and on the river, and the science center, and the aquarium. We have had lunches at rivers edge, car camping some too, and indoors on benches. Funny how the boys love those impromptu eat wherever lunches. Life is good! :-D :-D :-D

PICASSA and PHOTOS NOTE: It seems that Picassa has fixed the problem of video uploads being rejected. I discovered that this AM when I forget to delete one,a nd it did process. so.... YAY! The photo links now include the videos as well. I am one Happy camper here! :-D :-D :-D :-D

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday Night were our swimming days this week. That's alot of pool time! William went Thursday only (having spent Monday at the library with his other grandma), Nicholas went Monday, Wednesday and Friday nght. They both are truly water babies. William has taken to it all so well. He never cries when there, always asks for more of whatever he is playing on. He doesn't seem to mind when the water spray features are on. He loves the slides, and wants to climb up the stairs on his own. So we do, slide down together.  I am continuing to introduce him to being underwater, for short periods at a time. He doesn't seem to mind them, I've even had a few smiles. He's adjusted to back floating, and "swimming" on his front. I have no doubt that he will like this as much as Nicholas does. In fact he never wants to leave when it is time to go. We have a new chant: MORE!  Nicholas continues to be very supportive of William's efforts in the pool. He still asks how he did when he can't swim with him, tells me what I should be training him on, asks if he did certain things. It is cool when he says" "He's doing great Grammie!" Yes, that he is. Nicholas continues to be our energizer fishie. That I think will never change. he just has so much fun with it all. He continues to LOVE the new pool we started going to a few months ago, in Snohomish. It really is a wonderful experience, and he can do alot of the things he likes there: like the slides, the lazy river, and deep water jumping and diving. That has become our new Friday pool. It is a ways away so it does add to our commuting time, but we all agree that it is very much worth the effort and time spent. We are still trying to "convince" Nicholas that swim lessons would be great... oh sure! Last night he tells me that he is "never taking that swim test!" Hmmmmm.... silly kid! I continue teach him what I can. He continues to make lots of new friends when he goes. it's fun to see him connect up with kids when he gets there. We all just love pool days, and are grateful that we have the pools and the time to be able to do this. GO NICK! GO WILLIAM!

Nicholas still looks forward to our after swim Friday Night Burger Feast That is just so fun: burgers and fries, just him and me, with lots of fun stories. He was so happy to see that burger and fries combo show up, just like always. Somehow I think that is part of the magic of Friday night swims: that he gets burgers etc after his swim. He alwyas makes a point now, of making sure I have packed it all. He also tin ks it would be a good idea if I packed a jar of pickles, as it seems there are never enough on his burger.   Yesterday we again talked about our week, trips to city science center and the aquarium the week before, the urban river/park, and especially the time spent on the out in the wild river earlier that day. The drive home continues to be an enjoyable time for him. He's into volcanoes, and now tsunamis, these days so we talk alot about them. GREAT TIME!

Monday I spent the afternoon in Seattle, visiting my friend. It's nice to be able to get back into "town" once a week and catch up with people I used to work with, before I hung up the working mantle. Coffee time with Barb though is great! :-D :-D :-D I enjoy my weekly trip to Seattle to see my friend from my working days with Nordstrom. I do enjoy though being able to connect with her once a week, and head into the city for a bit. and the gossip isn't too bad either.  :-D  They are beginning to venture into the international market, Puerto Rico, and Canada. It is interesting to see how it is affecting all that goes on there, sure has made for very busy times for them.

Tuesday should have been my hiking day. . I had so wanted to be in the North Cascades (don't I always??)..... but alas, Tuesday ended up being "Dodge the Weather" day!   The weather in most of the state didn't support hiking, and up in the mountains? reports of lots of freezing white stuff.   Already? but.... but... but.... I'm not done yet with my mountain hiking!!!  We have a creek nearby that runs through the Meadowdale Park area, that also supports a rather nice Coho and Chum Salmon run,. Reports are coming in that folks have seen them starting to run the creek, so I decided to don the rain gear and head on down to see if I could find any, or if the sightings were just the "early birds" that we tend to get here. The storms off of the Sound have started, a crucial element to get these fish to start their return. But alas.... though the Meadowdale hike was great, no fish sightings! Bummer! We shall try again this weekend. Earlier that day I startled my morning off with breffis day with Anthony. LOVE those breffis's! We still go to the same place, still like as much as the first day we were there. Good prices, with a nice good morning atmosphere. He had this massive pancake thing, called the "Tower": four large pancakes covered with a berry glaze, strawberries, raspberries and blue berries, and of course a mountain of whip cream. With a side of bacon. YUM! Sure was good! He had Eggs Benedict with pepper bacon instead of Canadian bacon. That was good too, a nice variation on the traditional EB.

Wednesday Afternoon, after Nicholas's swim we were off to a river park in Bothell. We had such fun there a week or so ago, and the week before, that we decided to go back. They too have a nice playground area , and well as a good river trail walk, with a few access points where the boys can get down to waters edge. It is always fun to be able to do that there, as the ducks come and visit every time. We got lucky with the weather that day too, as it had been drizzly a good part of the morning. By time time we made the park, the rains had stopped. and didn't resume until it was time to go. YAY! :-D Nicholas was able to wade out into the river some too. He just loves to be able to get into the river! He didn't stay in long, waded with boots on, as it really was a bit cold to be swimming in. William so wanted to be out in it too, but alas he doesn't really have boots. I finally gave up trying to keep him out of the water, let him wade in the section he wanted. We all had a good laugh as the water just poured off of his jeans adn out of his shoes when we hauled him out so when it truly was time to go. Just like last week, we brought some food for the ducks. Nicholas had such fun feeding them. He had quite the audience. William was busy chanting: " ducks, ducks, ducks, ducks! " This time he stood by by Nicholas while he fed them, watched what to do, had a piece of bread of his own to fed them. He was cute, had a few of the ducks accept his offerings out of his hand. He was able to toss fairly well too. Nicholas wanted to walk some of the trail too. The fall colors there continue to be great. Really nice! William was content with all the sticks and rocks and fallen leaves he found. Way too funny, but cool too. It was a nice afternoon at the park. Nicholas could have used another 2 hours there, he was so not done when it was time to leave. ;-) William too!

Thursday Afternoon, after William's swim, and Nicholas's school we were off to the Science Center. Once again the weather was not our friend, what rains! and winds! and little sun! so........ Nicholas's solution was the Pacific Science Center. SWEET! and an excellent choice. This seems to be rapidly becoming a fave place for Nicholas, we've been every week for over a month now. Science center was alot of fun, both boys got into just about everything, Even William wants to participate. That was fun to see. I think we spent 6 hours there, did it all. it never really did stop with the rains yesterday, rains all day. We had a very small break when we were at the science center, enough that we could get a half hour or so out with their waterworks through science stuff outdoors. Nicholas just loves that stuff. William too. It was water and all he wanted was to be in it. Nicholas likes the place, is getting much better at understanding some of the science behind what he interacts with. William just likes pushing all the buttons turning all those knobs. ;-) It's a great place, lots to do, lots for them to learn. It is unfortunate that some of the exhibit areas need work in that the stuff simply does not work anymore. other than that, still good. Neither boy wanted to leave....It is nice though to see them accept and know that these afternoon trips are short ones, and that they have to be selective in what they see. Both boys did well with that aspect. The drive to meet their dad after the Science Center trip was ever so nice. The sun finally did break through for real, with that pre-sunset glow, giving us a very nice sunset too!

Friday was our free day, and YAY (!!!!) the weather was our friend! We had some sun, mid 50's temps, and the rivers were calling us. Nicholas asked to go to the Skykomish River. So after a fun filled morning of laughter, books, and good food, we headed on out. It was truly and awesome day to be outdoors, and back to one of or fave places: the Skykomish River, near Index. Nicholas also asked if we could go to Juanita Beach, since it was a sunny day more or less. It seems he has missed the place. So I told him if we had time we would go. We did very well. The boys had such a good time. We stayed maybe 4 hours hours, before heading on down to Juanita beach, per Nicholas's request. No fish yet in the Skykomish, kinda disappointing, but well... we will try again in a few. River was very high, fast, just beautiful. William was just as excited to see it as Nicholas was. We walked the banks, tossed a ton of rocks, waded in some, explored a few mini waterfalls, and enjoyed being out in the wilderness. I am amazed at how well both boys love the time spent there. Nicholas tells me as we are headed on out that it was "The best day". One has to love that. what a truly great morning, great time! Juanita Beach was darn nice too. Maybe 58 there, sunny skies. We did the play stuff, walked the creek, played on the beach. Nicholas wanted to bring home shells to mom, which required wading. That was awesome, sun starting to go down and there he is out on the water, hunting shells. Brought home quite a few for his mom. What a sweetie, huh! We did Snohmish pool last night. he really loves that pool, as that session offers all he wants, from the lazy river to deep water stuff. to just play. Traffic getting there was awful, over an hour, ohmygod_smile on that - only to find once we get there that they had a HS swim meet going on, parking lot had no room, took forever to find a place to park. Dang that place was busy! Great time though. And so went Friday: fantastically busy, home at 9:30, to bed way too late. amazing that I am functional today. lol.

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!   The kitties are all doing well. Not too much new with them... Fall mode is here, they are bunkering down, but still yearning for the great outdoors when the sun is out. Elsa still ventures out, and when out she doesn't stay long. Bug could care less, Lola is ALWAYS grounded, and always wants OUT. My new patio door has been installed: step one on the catio development has been completed. I still haven't done much more than that. I am looking at window attachments, where she can at least "get out" and may just try and figure out a way to enclose a portion of the deck for them, dunno on that... Lola, I have not forgotten your catio.... but you may have to wait a bit longer. ;-) Nicholas continues to talk about Mannie. Last week, and the week before, I remember writing how at one point he told me that he really wishes Mannie could come home. ;-) He did this week too, and just like last week my thoughts were "Nicholas, so do I". Apparently he has talked about Mannie at school, when the subject of pets came up. One of his friends told him that Mannie will always be gone and forgotten. Nicholas told his friend that "Mannie is always here. I can still hear him. I think about him, and he is here." A few times this past week he mentioned, out of the blue, that he misses Mannie. We told many a Mannie story that day, and man y others. Thanks for coming to visit us Mannie! We all miss ya big guy! cat_pet_icon

Have a great Caturday everyone. Sorry this post it late today. Sorry too I missed everyone's condos yesterday too. Time this morning, and the days, have gotten away from me. At least the shopping is done, and the laundry. :-D I am off in a few for an afternoon walk in the woods, and hopefully to see some of the salmon that are returning for their run. We seem to have a bit of a weather break today, so I really hope to take advantage of that. The sun is shining! :-D :-D :-D

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN cat_pet_icon

Re: 11/8 LOOSE LIPS: Fun RULES!! Happy Caturday LL!!

As always, I am exhausted from reading about your week  !!! It's awesome that William has taken to the water just like his big brother. Yikes on the frozen white stuff....first Ella, now you    ! Please keep it away from NJ!!!

Have a great rest-of-the-weekend, Michelle!!

Re: 11/8 LOOSE LIPS: Fun RULES!! Happy Caturday LL!!

Happy Caturday evening LL!! I hope you day has been a good one. We have done well here. Laundry done early, shopping too. The weather was nice early on today so I took advantage of that and headed on out to my local hike through Meadowdale Park. There have been reports that the salmon here have started their run up the creek that runs through the park: Lund's Gulch. I just love those runs, so off I went to see if I could find any. I did!! :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D 7 Chum salmon a couple of hundred yards in from the mouth of the creek. WOO HOO! So I stayed a while and watch those 7 guys navigate the obstacles found there. In the photo album there are a few videos, and photos, of the run. Hard to get decent photos of it all! What a great time out!

Hi Amy ~O) ~O) ~O) lol, it was busy I guess, huh! Fridays was my fave day out, in addition to the pool time. It is so awesome to be able to take those boys out into the wilderness, and have them love being there.  I think so too on William, his response and desire to be there is really great. LOL on the white stuff. So far it is just in the mtns at the higher elevations, and as far as I am concerned, I hope it stays there!!! ;-) I so hope you guys have a better winter than last year... I so remember that one!

Re: 11/8 LOOSE LIPS: Fun RULES!! Happy Caturday LL!!

Sounds like another typical week for you, busy and fun. How cool that you got to follow some salmon. That's sweet Nicholas wanted to take some shells home for mom. That's sad what one of Nicholas' friends told him about Mannie. At least Nicholas knows better and told him.

Re: 11/8-9 LOOSE LIPS: Fun RULES!! Happy Sunday LL!!

Good Morning LL! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (YUM! I Love coffee!), and Happy Sunday!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, KBP kitteh barista pilot!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! GUESS WHAT! Bug and Lola are exhausted from I dunno! but they still want to be working today too at PawPrints Pizza, so..... They have decided that today is Super Special Sunday! They are doing triples on everything! Kinda cool huh! They wants to give all kitties some fun times today, triple funs! What will that be.... I dunno! They say that since today is Football Sunday that maybe the kitties want to get a game of their own going. Kitty Football Anyone? so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Double shot Breve's, with beans from high in the Brazilian Mountains.... and for my mocha fans: a VENTI Quad Blueberry infused white mocha/mocha blend with white chocolate chips melted within, swirled with a raspberry puree, topped with a strawberry infused whip garnished with caramelized berry sprinkles and white chocolate curls and a caramel drizzle.......SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of 4 berry and vanilla and caramel swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with caramel and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good!

Happy Sunday everyone. I hope you had a great Caturday. It is SO WET out her this morning, that I did not go for my usual beach walk. The winds were up, and the rains are falling. The weather dudes say that it will end in a few so I will head on out later today, maybe back to the creek so see if I can see some more salmon on the run. It sure was nice to see some yesterday!

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!   All kitties are snuggled up in their beds this morning it is cool out, and very wet. not even Elsa has asked to go out. And Lola? She checked out all the windows and decided she'd rather nap on my lap. cool! It is amazing how serene and calm and content she looks when she is sleeping.... Of course this was only after she had this marathon run through the house for close to 30 minutes. Elsa whacked her for even thinking she wnated to join. Bug of course did, ran right along with her, stopping now and then to play with a toy instead. GO KITTIES!!

Enjoy your Sunday everyone. I hope to get out soon, once the rains stop. I hope too to get out in the yard sometime and start with the leaf raking. This past week they have all decided it was time to fall, so we are getting quite the build up. I also saw yesterday that with all the high winds of last week that we have another downed tree, or branch from a larger tree on the fence. oh fun. not. so will have to get out and look at that too. Hooray I can hardly wait... ;-) :-|

Morning Carla ~O) ~O) ~O) Yupp, the week has been a busy one, but also a good one. We had such good times. I though so too on Nicholas and those shells. It was a very sweet gesture. I thought so too on nicholas and his school friend and Mannie. Makes one wonder what that other kids experience with is with animals that have crossed to the Bridge, if he even has, or had the closeness that Nicholas had with Mannie. I was glad that Nicholas knew better, and did not let his friends comment bother him. YES (!!) on the salmon. I look forward to this time of year everywhere when I can go down to the creek and see some of the run.One year I was actually lucky enough to witness the female lay her eggs, and the male fertilize them Way cool!

Re: 11/8-9 LOOSE LIPS: Fun RULES!! Happy Sunday LL!!

Why kids can be so cruel is beyond me. Of course Nicholas is right on. Mannie will always be there with him!

Re: 11/8-10 LOOSE LIPS: Fun RULES!! Cheery Cherry Monday!!!!

Good Morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (Elsa - lots (!!) please! This bean is so sleepy...), and Happy Cheery Cherry Monday
LL! It's is I, Elsa, KBP, kitteh barista pilot!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! GUESS WHAT! Today is CHEERY CHERRY MONDAY!! Lola and Bug, aka Paw Prints Pizza, are making their cheery cherry pizza pies. It is after all Monday, and that is now tradition! Anybody up for a cherry pizza? I uh hear that they are FD friendly too....  so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Double shot espressos, with beans from deep within the mountain slopes of Africa, AND.... for all my Mocha fans: a VENTI Quad cherry infused white mocha/mocha blend with white chocolate chips melted within, topped with a cherry whip garnished with candied cherry sprinkles and white chocolate curls. SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of cheery cherry and chocolate swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with crystallized cheery cherries and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! We gots CHEERY CHERRY CHEESECAKE too! I hear that it is Miss Maggie's secret cheesecake recipe!! AND cheery cherry frappes! I love cheery cherry Mondays.

Happy Monday LL! Here we go again, another Monday.... ;-) Enjoy your week, everyone. I hope your weekend was a good one. It was rather uneventful here, and fairly normal. whatever that means....  My out and about time was spent at Meadowdale Park, here by the house, most of it with the salmon run in Lunds Gulch Creek, which runs through the center of the park. It is so wonderful to watch those fish navigate that creek, on their final journey. Saturday there were several kids there too, learning about the fish with friends and family. And pets, and dogs. I love dogs, but sure wish some of these folks would keep their dogs out of the creek when the salmon are spawning. seriously folks? oh well... one tries to educate. It was such a wet weekend here, lots of rains, but somehow I didn't get too wet while on these little adventures. :-D Saturday's hike was somewhat sunny until I headed home. Sunday's hike was just plain wet. Funny how those dish don't care. Spent some time over the weekend working on the Medicare aspect of DH's pending retirement. Getting it all narrowed down, such a convoluted mess.

Normalcy in MusketeerVille.   Lola is being so good! I am waiting for the other shoe to fall.... she can only be good for so long.   Elsa ventured out yesterday, I could see her walking her, well Mannie's old route that she has taken over, until the wet just got the better of her, then it was a beeline in for a much needed dry off. She was happy though, she finally got out some. Bug has all of a sudden decided to be a lap cat. He will sit on my lap for a good hour at night as I wind down with a little TV or a book. He just lays there and purrs and pours and purrs. If I don't pet enough he paws my hand until I do. WooHOO! And GO BUG! Things are good in MusketeerVille. cat_pet_icon

Have a great Monday everyone. I am off to join Nicholas, William, and the other grandparents for our joint Monday swim day. Should be fun! Hopefully it will be off to Seattle after that to meet my former co-worker for coffee. Should be an excellent day.

Hi Anne ~O) ~O) ~O) I know on those kids.... I keep telling myself that they are 3 yr olds, and probably know no better. It was nice to hear Nicholas's response to that kid, who also happens to be his better friend there. I was happy to see and hear how Nicholas feels about Mannie, what he believes to be true. I too think he is right on. I have always told him that anytime he wants to be with Mannie, just think about him, he will be there with you. Memories are wonderful.

How sweet on Bug turning into such a lap cat. I hope swim day went well.

Re: 11/8-10 LOOSE LIPS: Fun RULES!! Happy Tuna Tuesday!!!

Good Morning LL ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (LOTS! I just love ~O) ), and Happy TUNA Tuesday!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, KBP, kitteh barista pilot!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! GUESS WHAT! Today is TUNA TUESDAY!!! In honor of Tuna Tuesday, once again Lola and Bug, aka Paw Prints Pizza, will make their famous triple tuna pies, with tuna and nip infused crust, tuna toppings, and now triple tuna infused cheese. YUMMMMMMMM! It's tradition!, and these pizza pies totally rock! and as a side benefit we have TUNA WATER too! so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot Cappuccinos with extra foam, made from beans from High in the mountains of Jamaica. And for all my mocha fans: a Venti quad dutch apple infused white mocha, with caramel whip, garnished with caramelized apple clusters, white chocolate shavings and a caramel drizzle...... SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of apple and vanilla and chocolate and caramel swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, sprinkled with crystallized apple bits and a chocolate caramel drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... OH! forget it... no tuna mochas. BLECH!

Remembering our veterans today... a big five and a thank you to all who have served.

How's the week going do far for everyone? We have done well, kept busy. DUH.... Yesterday was sunny, but getting colder out there. Thank you Alaska for that cold front you sent our way. not. We expect to be in the 20's tonight, 38/42 during the day. At least the sun will be out (they promised!), and NO WHITE STUFF.  ;-) Yesterday was our joint swim day for Nicholas and William, and the other grandparents.it went fairly well, but I am glad that I am continuing to go to help the other two DGP's out. They are not very physically active people, so some of the challenges that a pool opens up has been difficult for them. Nicholas is so used to things being a certain way, being able to do things that they just can't do. So it is good that I am there. He had a great time yesterday and seems to be adjusting to having us all there. He just loves the big pool, loves being underwater, has a game of toss and catch what falls below. It's a ton of fun for him. William is doing extremely well too. He loves being there, rarely fusses, doesn't mind being below the surface of the water. In the photos, check out the video of him as he is dunked a few times. Look at that smile! A great time in the pool for both boys. Two peas in a pod, those two.

After the pool I went on a short hike over by Bellevue: Coal Creek. it is one that Nicholas and I had been too many a time in the past. I had read that there was a rather nice salmon run going on in that creek, so off I went. I enjoy the trail too, it is a very nice 6.0 mile one near Cougar Mountain, follows the creek for a good portion. I had a great time, saw alot of Coho salmon in that creek. Love those, and their red coloring at run/spawn time. I had sunny skies, crisp fall air, alot of gorgeous sunlit trees. In the photos there are a couple of vids of the salmon. I hope you enjoy them.

Kitties are doing well this morning. They have just finished a mega marathon thundering herd run around the house this morning, complete with flying fur.  Guess that is my clue that I really need to brush them. it's cold out this morning, well cold for us, and they ave all decided that a bed snuggle is in order. even Lola. She has spent alot of time in between runs napping on my lap. :-D Love it when she does that. She looks so cute and sweet and innocent when she does. Look out when she wakes up, after re energizing those cells, we have wild cray spontaneous Lola. Normalcy in MusketeerVille. cat_pet_icon

Enjoy your day today everyone. I hope all goes well. I'm not too sure what will be here, probably a combo of different things. I still need to rake the yard, get the faucet protectors on, Maybe even get a walk/hike in this afternoon when it warms up some. WOOT! Outside! it is too sunny and nice out here today to let the day go by without being out in it.

Hi Carla ~O) ~O) ~O) I think so too on Bug. it has taken a while for him to be comfortable with that, so it is more than welcome. Swimming went well, I believe the boys had a great time. :-D

Hi Michelle,
What a busy time you are having. Too bad there is so much rain, though! I do hope you get to the Northern Cascades before the winter socks in. The pics on the Skykomish are wonderful. Wow, that river is moving! The boys were having a ball. William is walking really well now.

And the videos of the swim session turned out really well. What fun!

Good for Nicholas setting his friend straight on how much our GAs are with us. Mannie is keeping watch over his family.

Thanks for visiting Rusty. I hope your weather improves!!!

Hugs, scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Wow Michelle- as always, I enjoy reading your condo- it shows what is so right about the PNW! :-D Hope you stayed warm and safe during our windy cold spell yesterday! It's nice to have sunshine, but I could do without the winds and mess of tree limbs and losing power for 3 hours! Beautiful pictures s always too,Coal Creek is of course, another beauty of a hike- just a few weeks ago, ;those trees leaves were just glowing, but it's still beautiful after they have dropped. Aren't those salmon runs something to watch? When I worked in Canyon Park there was a stream running through and we always looked forward to the coho run every fall!

WOOT! And bring on Thursday! A school morning for Nicholas, A pool morning for William, and then despite the COLD temps here an afternoon out in the sun. YIPPEE!!!

Hi Ella ~O) ~O) ~O) I o know: busy !!! That is true on the rains, we did have our fair share. No we are COLD, 30's, but have sunshine. It has been nice to be able to get out and have it be dry. Me too on the NCascades, but it is looking more doubtful as the days roll on. Maybe this weekend if the weather holds. THX on the Skykomish pics - that was such a fun day for us. Oh yes: that river was FAST! It was nice to see that Nicholas saw it, remarked on it, and stayed at rivers edge. William too! And yes - once William decided walking was good he just took off, walks very well, few stumbles. I am glad you can once again see the vids (hooray Picassa!), he does so well. William is coming along well too. So agreed on Nicolas and Mannie - he talked endlessly about him yesterday. THX Mannie!

Morning Ruth ~O) ~O) ~O) many thanks! I think so too on the PNW, we do well here, it is a beautiful section of the country. And yes on the warm, dang it was windy! we too had tree limbs down, one big one in fact... well hopefully no more of that for a while. it may be COLD but but the sun is great! SO SO AGREED on the salmon runs, I really liked the one at Coal Creek: nice to see so many Coho! COOl on Canyon park! I didn't now there was one there too. Awesome!!

Hvae a great day everyone! Gotta run - time to pick up Nicholas and William. Kitties here say HI to all, they are all doing well. Normalcy in MusketeerVille!!

Oh my. I'm exhausted reading all that. The kids definitely keep you busy. Good thing you are retired!  Hopefully the rain lets up and you can enjoy a nice warm day this afternoon. Nicholas and Mannie were definitely best buds. Have a great day Michelle!

Hi Melissa, and many thanks! ~O) ~O) ~O) We have been busy but then again, when are we not. I have to laugh, after a day with me I send them home with mom and dad, and the reports are the same: they slept the whole way home, with smiles on their faces. Sure is great! so so agreed on that retired thing!  I know on Mannie.... Nicholas talked on end about him today, asking me to tell him stories, remember what they did together, Such a great time that was. :-D
