China's all kinds of crazy this morning!! She's chasing an imaginary bug and having a lot of fun doing it!!

Might be a very interesting cycle today with that 120 point drop at +3. Wish I didn't have to leave to take Mom to the doctor but hopefully it won't take too long so I can get back home to test. Looks like the threat of a dosecrease did it's usual magic too!!

That's funny on chasing the imaginary bug. :lol: I hope she surfs safely while you're out and everything goes well with your Mom's doctor appointment.

Looks like the dose threat worked! Glad it is just an imaginary bug - they sure know how to make us look!! :-D

Well, not so good news, but maybe for the best. The doctor told mom that if her cardiologist was willing to admit her to the hospital today, she needed to go. The cardiologist increased her Lasix to 40mg three times/day and the GP we saw today said she should have already lost a lot more water.

Called the cardiologists office and they said to take her to the hospital and get her admitted through the ER, so have to leave when China's dancing pretty close to 50. Went ahead and gave her another teaspoon of LC and added a teaspoon of HC gravy to go with it and will just have to hope it'll hold her until I get back. There is more LC food down, but the civvies don't know the meaning of restraint, so I hope they leave some down for her if she needs it.

Surf safe for Mama, please China!

Got her over to the ER and after she was triaged, they sent her back out to wait for a room to open up...for over 3 hours we just sat waiting. When they finally got her a room in the ER, we waited some more. Finally had a doc pop in and he popped back out about as fast and by then it was getting close to the time I either had to leave (to get China's shot in on time) or decide to skip or do it '"whenever" I got home.

She told me to go ahead and go, and as I was leaving this snotty little nurse says "Just because her cardiologist wanted her admitted doesn't mean she will be" (and I'm going to tell him she said that too!) so we had to get the ER doc back to say "Yes, I'm admitting her" so I could feel safe in leaving and not having to just turn around and go back and get her.

I hate leaving her there alone, but nothing much I could do for her other than just wait with her. I just hope they find a bed for her in the hospital and she doesn't end up in the ER on those awful gurneys all night too

China's started a rather nasty habit of bouncing after not going all that low lately. Wish she'd stop it! Of course at +2 tonight, she could drop like a rock like she's done before and keep me up all night testing.

It's a good thing I love her!! :lol:

Chris, so sorry to hear about your horrible experience at the hospital. What the heck ever happened to 'decency'? Hopefully your Mom's stay at the hospital will allow them to get the water issue under control, and allow her to start feeling better. I know it was hard for you to leave your Mom there, let's hope she was able to get some sleep, and I'm sure she feels better knowing you're not stressed about China and what her bg might have been doing while you were away.
And China...sheesh! Mama said to surf safe, not bounce to the moon kitty :lol:

Oh, Chris ... The ER can be terrible especially if you are older...Sheesh. Hopefully they will treat her and she will begin to feel better.

I know it must be difficult to leave your mom, but she probably is getting settled. We pray for peace for her and some rest.

Did she get bed now?

Mom didn't get into a room until a little after 11pm, and we got to the ER about 1pm, so it's been a VERY long day. China looks to be coming down some, but slowly, so I think I'm going to let her have the night off and both of us get some rest.

Tomorrow will be another busy day..Hope China cooperates!!
