good morning all...

had a little trouble getting on the board last night...so like the trooper i am, i gave it up quickly & easily. :-D

so...the first 3 cycles on this dose were fat 1.25...then i felt like the next 2 were just 1.25..and now we're back to fat 1.25. my vision just isnt as reliable as i'd like...but even i could tell those 2 skinny ones weren't quite up to par.

whether due to the time change, or just the increased scooter activity he's been engaging in the last few days...I got to wake HIM up this morning. :-D my purring doesn't measure up to his deep rumble...but i do a passable cuddle.

hope everyone had a healthy restful night...we're a little behind on checking in on our LL buddies.

Binks' SS is looking very pretty!

I'd try to be as consistent as possible with the dose - even though it probably takes squinting. Even one drop can make a difference.

oh, i hear you, sienne. i went last night and picked up a stronger magnification pair of reading glasses. i don't think the little poop should suffer from having chosen an aging bean. :-D

Hey Celi - hear ya on the dose thing. micro dosing = micro caliber syringes, don't ya think? what i would give for that. :lol:

Binks has had some really good numbers lately. Very nice.

I was showing my niece last night the magnifying glass (4x) I use to get the dosing just right. She was amazed at how hard it was to read the syringe accurately..Even w/the mag. glass..She's a youngster too (27).

Count me in, for the micro dosing syringe. We're trying to do a f1.25, also. I get as close as I can, using the lighted magnifier, and just try to be consistent.

I love looking as SSs and seeing how up top it's all pink & yellow, then at the bottom, it's all blue & green. :mrgreen:

LOL @ trying to dose accurately, if anyone walked in on me during my syringe time, they'd swear I was in the middle of a mad-science experiment.

Celi, I hear you on the dose measuring! I use reading glasses too, but I finally broke down and bought a lighted magnifier and I use both....WOW, what a difference that makes! I highly recommend the lighted magnifier, especially if you are at the age (as I am) that you need reading glasses! (Or longer arms! :mrgreen: )

Good morning, Celi. That a nice amps for Binks. After struggling with the doses between the lines, I finally got it. Get the insulin to the next line up from where you want to be and then slowly push out drops one at a time until you get to where you want it to be. Count the drops so you can then do it consistently. For example, when I was shooting 3.75, I would go to the 4 line and squeeze out 2 drops. Have a great Sunday!

After I read Ele's squirt-out-drops technique, that is what I have been doing too and I feel pretty secure in being able to give consistent dosing that way.

I had trouble with the board last night too.

what, no music? you must have a busy Sunday lined up. Hope it's a great one.

woo-hoo! we're back on. had to leave the boy from +6 to +8.5...gave him mc...he seems to have surfed the high blue waves...

since i liberally mangle lyrics and sing no matter what i'm doing...my new dosing song will be:

" 1 little, 2 little, 3 little droplets.
4 little, 5 little, 6 little droplets.
7 little, 8 little, 9 little droplets.
now we know we got a good dose!"

we'll give it a try this evening!

That microdosing is reeediiiccccuullllouss...I always look at the syringe five times and think "is that what it looked like last time?" I'm gonna try Ele's method for sure.

Missed your condo today but Gracie said she had a blast at the party and Binks was telling her all about your attempt at purring....now, I don't know if it's true but Gigi said Binks just shook his head.

Beautiful numbers here. Oh how I wish. I know how you feel about the dosing. That was the joy about using the Caninsulin. It wa s easy to measure 0.1 of a unit. No magnifying glass required. Now I sometimes think I need trifocals to see what I want to see. The joys of getting old.

:shock: barb...i totally agree! when the first signs of aging appeared...i tried denial, moved onto feeling anger & betrayal...NOW i'm ready for the bargaining phase!

he's rockin'. (ok, he's snoozin...but his numbers are rockin...)

was a long day...and i have NO idea what's going on with any of the other LL teams..at least being on late at night gives me a chance to catch up on the news.

and i know i mentioned this once before...but this condo about dosing accessories has me wondering how long it will be before we all shift gears and start posting on the Preservision Forum. :lol:

Nice numbers Celi! :-D I would stop feeding at this point and see where Binks ends up at AMPS..you don't want it to be food influenced.

yeah...i fed him some at the +10, but you're right laurie...i feel like Spock here (star trek, not baby doc)...

and yes, dyana...jill suggested that designation...said it makes it easier for her to glance at an SS and know right away what's been fed.
once i started doing it...i realized i kind of like it, too.

eta: the sheer number of asterisks lately reflects us trying to feed him micro amounts each test a la the mannie/tess method...make him work for his reductions as it seems that he has the newly hired teenager philosophy... instead of banking what he earns, he tends to let it slip thru his little paws.
