Morning everyone! :mrgreen: Raja was under that lone dining room chair in the living room. So I had to pick it up to get to her. She was fine with the ear test and then ate her breffis. When I returned with the syringe, she was right back in the same spot so I was able to just kneel down and give her the shot! This is amazing. It's as if she knows that her numbers are blue and she is accepting the shot! She is smart, isn't she?
She does get antsy when she is in the greens when it comes to shot time in the past, so we will see if she does the same thing in a few days. But for today, there are no chase stories at all!!! Just a boring day in the loony bin. Raja obviously does not care that she has failed 2 trials in her life....as Jill said, she is taking the scenic route back to the Falls....I just hope she gets there eventually!!!

Good Morning Pat. I wonder what our kitties think. I bet she feels different when she's blue, and knows that the shot is going to make her feel better. I don't think that's far fetched, they really are so smart. :-D

All in all - a nice Raja report. It is good that she is happy being Raja. Scenic routes are ok - lots to do and see - she will get there. Have a great caturday!

I hear the disappointment in your voice.....Darn it, eh?

That's amazing that Raja is not hightailing it so to speak to her hiding places....but just waiting for you now. Cats are truly amazing......and by the way Pat...So are you. Trying to deal with, not one, but two roller coaster rides has got to be exhausting.....emotionally and physically. You've done an amazing job with Shadow and Raja.....And you've helped 100's of folks here along the way. Hang in there Pat.....

Not a full moon already.....didn't we just have one.... :mrgreen:

This tiny little drop of insulin will help Raja get back on track. Isn't amazing how so little can do so much?

You didn't let Raja get past normal by more than a few points so I doubt she felt bad, but being back on the juice will assist her pancreas to become stronger and soon be able to go it alone again... And stay in the greens. :mrgreen:

have you thought about investing in lighter chairs?

i have to say...if i were trying to deal with two FD cats...i can't think of a smarter pair than raja and shadow...

hard as it must be to manage...you are blessed with these two!

Glad Raja is cooperating for you. Hope she takes a short cut back to the falls. She just needs a little more help. Guess we all face that at some point.

Pat....I'm amazed how great YOU sound..I know you are disappointed. But it is just a tiny bit and maybe she just doesn't like to hold that reduction to nothing yet...but she
will...she has to :!: I'm glad she didn't give you any chase today.

Another NEW MOON? Let's hope all the kitties stay in blue or green and I hope your beautiful girl gets down in to green quickly today.

I tell you, we are also amazed that these kitties are as smart as they are. Smarter than us sometimes I think!! :mrgreen: And, they are such good teachers - so many good things to learn from these lovable fur ball, no??

Raja was actually quite placid today with the routine. I am taking care of a little kitty downstairs in my neighbor's place. I watched her once before. Tonight, when I opened the door, she was right there! She took one look at me and hightailed it into the bedroom and out of sight. She had lost her first Daddy about 1.5 years ago.

When he died, Richard took home his friend's cat. His friend had found her on the side of the road with a rope embedded in her neck...she was a little kitty and he called him Oscar... until later when he discovered that she was a female! :lol: Oscar is a cute little girl but she must be traumatized when Richard leaves. I imagine that in her kitty mind, something terrible has happened to him. Poor little Oscar! I am NOT the person she wants to see walking in the door!

I am in the process of changing all my clocks. What a nuisance!! ohmygod_smile I just remembered the cars!! Hope everyone has a nice New Moon night....it is going to be very dark very early tomorrow night!!
 
awwww, I'm sorry to see that Raja didn't quite make the trial, Pat. I know how disappointed you must be, but I know that you will get past that and you know that you are doing what you need to do for your girl. I was kind of hoping that Spot would get otj quickly again this time, but it doesn't look like that will be the case. But you know, that's ok. He needs insulin and he's going to get it, regardless. Would be nice if he went back to the falls, but it was nice that he got there....and got there...and got there...lol.
