Yesterday, a good appy day.

Not quite as good today, first fud choice rejected, but she did eat the second eventually. It seems she likes Lamburgerini for breffs. And she did come and ask for food when I went into the kitchen after the morning row. I still have to get more into her this morning, maybe more of same? Though she usually likes variety.

I am hoping to get more food into her soon, so I can sneak out and do some sewing with a friend for s few hours. DH is not here to keep offering food. His boat just finished third in their category at the Head of the Lake Regatta in Seattle. :) It's a big regatta with 455 boats racing in many categories. They start behind the Washington Huskies stadium and the U of Washington boathouse. If you haven't read Boys in the Boat by Daniel James Brown, you should, and a lot of action takes place at that boathouse.

Happy Sunday all. Last row of the "season" today, though we might squeeze a few Saturdays in good weather. My legs, back and hands are looking forward to a break.

Congrats to the placing by your DH! Nice that Neko is still eating :cat:
Hope you do get the chance to get put to sew..are you quilting?
:bighug::bighug::bighug:
I'm starting to think I will be able to get back to it..looking at patterns and books for inspiration! Fingers crossed

Come on Neko and eat better for momma. There aren't enough animal proteins in the world left for your menu selection! LOL

The Regatta sounds huge! Glad you will be getting a much needed break.

Hope you got to get away for a bit!
Thats awesome news about your DH too! And yay for Neko- glad she is eating- I know how much it lightens the day!

I was thinking of you when I rearranged my bedroom today to make it "senior kitty" friendly:rolleyes:
They are very active and jump on the bed but they are not as graceful as they have been.... they now have a few options. Dre is very defiant about any help (proud boy) so I have a chest next to the whole side of the bed now and soft cushy landing pads all around. Rico is pretty agile but he is lighter:cat:

On another topic I bet you have amazingly strong arms!
:bighug:

Congrats to your DH on his excellent regatta. 455 boats!! Wow! (Today's NY City Marathon had 50,000 runners!!). I've not read "The Boys in the Boat", but it sounds like one I should put on my list. When I was at the Univ. of Washington (early 1960s) I was too busy with my studies to know that they even had a rowing program. Not on my radar then!

Neko: keep on eating for your mamabean!

DH came home in time to do afternoon snacks and PMPS. :) I stayed quilting and got dinner, Doggy bag for DH. Now I have to work on getting more fuds into Neko before bedtime. She had eaten enough before I left.

@jayla-n-Drevon 80-&5% of the power in rowing comes from your legs. Hamstrings are killing me today. But I must admit that my no longer match stick arms are occasionally too big when trying on shirts.

@Ella & Rusty & Stu(GA) The marathon is much bigger, but they also don't have entries that are anywhere from 25 to 60 feet long. The lineup to launch can be long, though DH lucked out today.
