hi!

I see you are on .5u...I would stick with that, and not raise, just to be on the safe side..seeing as you wont be around to check him.
leave plenty of food out as well.

if you can, spot check him just before you leave, that will give you an added number to fill in your SS too.

lets see what anyone else suggest as well.

You are right better safe than sorry.... I gave .5U will tell my mom to do the same, I should be able to get a +2.5 and another before that.. keep repeating to myself---start low, go slow... as he hasn't even been on lantus for a week yet,
I will be home all day and night tomorrow (besides running out for groceries, so should his numbers stay so HIGH tomorrow would be the day to consider a dosage change....)

dont be surprised, you may be asked for some nadir numbers when you are home to monitor before dose raising is suggested by others, they like to see nadir numbers... (+5, +6)

I also agree. You'd be safer that way, especially if you can't be home to monitor much today. Lantus is based on nadir #'s, not preshot #'s. So, either increasing or decreasing will be based on the nadirs.

has some diarreha, am thinking it might be the tuna FF.... (it is the one on the LC list) But this the first time he had at (at AMPS) and now diarreha, or it could be something else...

instructions given to my mom... give .5U no matter what his BG,
When I get home I will post his PMPS and also a +6...

Well Hi,
So his numbers are the same, HIGH as we can all clearly see....
His demeanor seems good though... he is in decent spirits...

Any suggestions as to a dose to give in the AM? Thought I would ask now in the hopes there might be some suggestions by the morning....
Am trying to update my SS, it doesn't much care for me again tonite...
