We have no idea why Moonie’s in outer space.

Did she drop last night without us knowing it? Did we give a fur shot? Is she trying to hang out with Karamelle and the aliens? Is it all the stress from the eye drops? Is she boycotting good numbers until we stop the drops?

It’s a mystery.

Well, we’ll be keeping our little eyes on her today. We’ve started giving her 100 mg of gabapentin every 12 hours to help with the eye drops. I’m hoping we can lower that over time, but it might be best to keep it up for the first week while she adjusts.

I hope so too! We just went in to do her +7 and she tried to run because she thought it was eye drops . And then after her test, she ran over to one of our nicer chairs and looked straight at me as she scratched it. She KNOWS what she’s doing naughty girl!

Karamelle has abandoned Moonie briefly but she will probably pass her coming down. Shes left the for now haha. Moonies eyes look better today! Her pupils are sooo big!!!

Is the eye drop a steroid? If so, that might drive her numbers up, though I would think the ocular absorption would be not be that much (compared to an injection or oral med). Just a thought.

I assume she really dislikes the eyedrops if she even tries to avoid you. How long will she have to take them?

The furniture scratching move is one we have here too. Naughty girls.
Ivy scratches and looks right at me.
She even does it in my bedroom at 4 am. Like what are you gonna do about it mom?
So I’m yelling at her but she keeps scratching.

She knew exactly that she was a bad girl
I assume she really dislikes the eyedrops if she even tries to avoid you. How long will she have to take them?

The vet said a minimum of 3 weeks… maybe more

Hopefully it gets better with time!

Thank you Staci! I love that Moonie intentionally did it as a power play to communicate her displeasure

I swear she knows too which are the nice chairs and which aren’t because she always goes for the expensive ones.
