Yesterday's Condo

Morning - Lanky & Bruski woke us up this morning as they adjust to the incremental time change. But all are happily eating breakfast now. Vet report from yesterday: feline acne - will be treating with Mupirocin ointment & Clavamox. I imagine this will impact his BG#'s somehow. Lanky will be on the antibiotic for 15 days taking a pill in a Pill Pocket each AM & PM. He LOVES those Pill Pockets.

It's been an adjustment to the time change here for us too - not happy kitties in the morning... late as far as they are concerned.

Good luck with the AB for the acne. amazing how common that is. Nice that lanky likes the pill pockets.

That low pink looks yellowish to me....come on down Lanky! Will you be giving Fortilfora a couple of hours after the Clavamox Susan? Or do you have another kind of probiotic to give him? Hope this will clear up his acne...it is so common, isn't it? Hope you guys have a great day!

ABs wipe out ALL bacteria...but we do need the friendly ones...probiotics replenish them. Fortiflora is what a lot of people use. I have gotten it from Amazon http://www.amazon.com/FortiFlora-Feline ... 432&sr=8-4

You sprinkle it on the food a few hours after giving the ABs. It helps for intestinal health...and helps to prevent the diarrhea that sometimes comes with the AB meds. Some kitties like it on their food even when they aren't on meds...it is good for encouraging some finicky eaters at times.
Some people will offer plain yogurt too but this seems to go over well right on their regular food.
Hope that Clavamox helps him....Raja was on it for 2 weeks and never got sick. Shadow seems to last 5 days before upchucking. My vet said to stop for 24 hours and then resume. It can upset their stomachs so be sure to alwaus give the Clavamox with food.... :razz:

I hope Lanky's numbers get better when the acne clears up, but it is a really low pink. Yellows or maybe blues soon Lanky.
