These numbers do not make me happy! I suspect this is a bounce and Gabby dropped lower during the AM cycle yesterday. OTOH, the less likely explanation is different food. I gave the kitties Weruva Paw Lickin' Chicken for dinner. It's lower in carbs (not by much) and in phosphorus than the Wellness they've been eating for years. They liked the new food a lot. The downside is that it's about half of the calories of Wellness so they got twice as much food. In typical Gabby fashion, any change in food means stinky poop -- really stinky poop.
 
Maybe she had a little belly ache from the different food and hoping she'll come down for you nicely today. I did the whole new flavor of food for about a week and OMG, you'd think something died in my house lol. Come Gabby, make mommy happy today!
 
Bummer on the stinky poop and high numbers! I used to give Trix Paw Lickin', too...it was funny because she had to learn how to eat shreds! When I first started giving it to her, her numbers did jump for some reason, even though it was supposed to be LC. They eventually settled, but ultimately it was too low in calories for her...bummer because she did love it.
 
Aww Gabby come down now! Pink is not a good color for kitties.

I tried that food on Ms Lucky but she won't eat shreds. Maybe it's because she has no teeth and she doesn't like the way they feel. It's not that she can't gum them because she had no trouble eating the gravy lovers FF when I used to feed her that. Now when she goes low she just thinks that's a super treat.
