Ah, well, at least she's not yellow this morning!
Interesting day yesterday...I grabbed on extra test before I left the house for work, and Trix was splish-splashing around in the lagoon, despite starting off yellow, despite eating shortly before that test, despite not having any insulin aside from her own.
Thank you again, everyone, for all your support during my head-spinning days here! And Jill, thank you for bringing Briggs' experiences to my attention. It really brings me comfort knowing there's another kitty out there like Trix...OTJ but still bouncing out of the normal range. It's crazy, it's made ME crazy....but now I finally feel a little less crazy about it. I could understand bouncing if Trix were on insulin, but man-oh-man has she had me on the edge lately.
So, that's what it seems: Trix still likes to bounce off herself, even without insulin. I keep telling her if she stops with these crazy numbers, I'll stop with the pokey tests....but I guess for her, like me, old habits die hard! I'll have to keep testing her, to make sure she really does break her own bounces. Seriously Trix, I truly appreciate one who stands out from the crowd, but this really isn't necessary!
The good thing is that the bouncing doesn't seem to phase her at all....as I've said quite a bit the past few days, she is her usual radiant self, with no red flags of true FD behavior.
It was a tough gelcap morning, but we got through it. We also had a Happy Crap Scurry, which occurred just before gelcap time, and I suspect that is why I had a hard time - she was feeling extra-feisty when I first attempted the gelcap. I should know better ohmygod_smile !
I talked to my Dad yesterday. His cough is lingering, but the cold is much better. And, he's past the crash for the most part, too. Not much else to report from there!
I have a crazy couple days ahead of me - lots of teaching plus we're doing a trunk show at one of the bead societies tomorrow night. I don't expect to be able to slow down until Sunday.
So....it's time to get moving. Have a great day, LL!
