Good Morning LL! Hopefully this is the end of the bounce/time change wonkiness. Last night i just decided to get it over with and changed the shot 15 minutes again. i had been trying only 15 min / day, but that wasn't working so so….

Tess has a vet checkup today, another cysto to make sure all the nasty buggers in her bladder are taken care of and a regular checkup and labs.

WCR All 5 Ps, Clean Plate Club, beautiful sunny morning today, which means hot later. Yesterday we got up to 90º!

Re: 11/5 Tess AMPS~314

Yes, time to get down into a nicer color floor. Add Tess to the list of Kitties who are TOO HIGH this morning! 90 - wow. We were in the 40s. brrrrr. Send some to the other coast!

Good vetty visit and Tess has started to come down nicely. She's ready to join the BMG set wherever they are, but needs lots of KTSS to get rid of the vetty smell. We should have labs tomorrow. The only bad news is a tooth that will probably need to come out. It has suddenly gotten worse and she said there looks like a fracture at the base of her remaining lower incisor. The vet will call back tomorrow w/ lab results and we will discuss the dental then.

OT: I found a flea on her again last week. I don't know if dormant eggs hatched because of the late hot spell or if we are carrying one or two in after caring for the neighbors outdoor cat. I treated the rugs and couch w/ Diatomaceous Earth this time. In reading up more on it I found a link to Flea Treats. The active ingredient in it is vitamin B, which apparently makes pets smell bad to fleas, mosquitos and ticks. Nearly all the reviews I found were good w/ the exception of some cats not liking the liver flavor. I asked Dr Stamp about it and while she hadn't heard of it said it certainly couldn't hurt and the vitamin B is great for pets anyway. So I ordered a bottle. Has anyone else tried this?

I hate putting Advantage on her and the vet said that for cats w/ compromise kidneys adding the stress of those poisons isn't a great idea. So it looks like more vacuum monster, diatomaceous earth and new treats.

Tess!!! I gots the vetty smell on me too!! Can we roll around in something to get rid of the smell? Let me know what you wants to do!
Leo

Well it sounds like a good visit, and ouch on the broken tooth. I hope her cysto comes back nice and clean and no more bacteria!

Darn fleas! Sorry i haven't heard about the flea treatment you spoke about but i hope its a great alternative to regular flea treatments.

Tess  up please. Glad the Vetty visit went well but sorry on the tooth. I've also been having a flea problem here and so are many of my pet friends. Thanks on those links. I used something similar to Advantage for fleas but now wi;ll be more cautious with the renal disease. Let me know if you try this product and if it works.

I guess that Tess really wanted to let you know how glad she was to get home.

Re: 11/5 Tess AMPS~314 +3~294 vetty +6~146 +10~42!!!

Tess couldn't wait to get back to the lagoon. Come up a bit and surf, KK Kitty!

Bummer on the fleas. I hope the diatomaceous earth and vitamin B will work. I've heard of diatomaceous earth, but can't remember in what context--maybe it was flea control. We had an awful flea problem years ago when we had our house in Brooklyn. Our bed was full of flea eggs!! (we didn't know what they were!!). Alice had to be "dipped" at the vet's (and put in the dryer!), and we spent the next 6 months vacuuming every day. The house had never been so clean!

Good luck on the tests. Too bad about Tess's tooth. I hope it isn't too painful for her.

I hope your weather breaks soon. It was 26 degrees here this morning and has been cold and damp with flurries all day (for over a week now).

Have a good evening,

Ella & Rusty

Hey Tess, KTSS will be there soon. Keep your fleas to yourself, however!!
Rusty

:YMSIGH: Oh well, fast dwon fast up! ohmygod_smile

Ella, I've known about DE for years as an insecticide, especially for ants, but wasn't sure about using it inside. It is actually applied to grains in storage to manage insects, so we eat it all the time. It is only a problem breathing the dust during application. A simple dust mask works for that. I guess a lot more visits from the vacuum monster are going to happen around here.

Z-man, thank you! And what do you think of this bounce!   -- Tess

Hi Ann - sorry for the late visit, yet again. went hiking and like all hiking days it's late before I know it. Looks like Tess had a great day - love that 42! I hope all went well at the vetty - sorry for the tooth... Elsa has one broken one too, been that way for years, and it never seems to bother her any.

Hope your day has been a good one.
